He is talking about an open downpipe Srt-4. Not a BOV or a "turbo" muffler insert.

 

Oh I wasn't even aware of that. I figured "wiesel" was his way of saying "psssh!!!!!"

 

step 1: grab screwdriver
step 2: stab neck with screwdriver

 

dumped at downpipe or anti lag turbo

 

The srt4 doesn't come with any mufflers, add a catless downpipe and you got your whistle.

You need to order a catless DP with an electric cutout, the whistling comes from the exhaust opening up right at the DP therefore you can hear the turbo right there. My Brother has one on his SRT-4 and it sounds awesome, and that's why it's gonna be my next mod.

 

i once took the exhoust off my talon with a 16g. i was getting a downpipe installed, heard nothing but turbo. it was awesome, when u let off the gas it was even louder kinda like a semi in cold weather. sweet..

wrong. refer to post 3. that's a full turboback for you. i have a catless downpipe with stock exhaust and when my downpipe is closed you can't hear it. now if i get a full 3 inch exhaust then you would. i will get it some time... and you don't need an open downpipe for the "whistle" but it's louder with one.
