To the best of my knowledge, optimum tables are used for torque calculations along with other internal ECU calculations.

Spark advance is your ignition timing.

Do yourself a favor and leave the optimum spark tables alone, get some more knowledge under your belt and experiment later.

dont change the optimum tables they are set for optimum spark at a solid state to help calculate load/toruqe.
you adjust the four spark tables to get your actual spark

Yea, def don't touch the optimum spark table unless you really know what you are doing!

Just saw your other thread about the logging stuff, I recommend you read up on HP Forums on some of the how-to's, download the basic file loaded in the repository and then learn to MAF tune. From there the sky's the limit! But that will give you a good start and look at what a tune does on these cars, its pretty amazing the power you can pickup from tuning alone

Yea, lol. I'm learning still. I have my fuel trims dialed in perfectly. my long terms usually stay right at zero and my short is only a few % up or down. I'm working on my timing tables now. You want as much advacement as possible without getting KR correct?

I would use factory timing tables then get a steady boost spike of 22-23psi ish then when you have the spike under control raise your timing until you start to see kr then back that area down about 2*
