I hate installing the lower CP!!!

Good lord the lower charge pipe a bitch to put on! Also, who ever put the car front bumper did a horrible JOB!!! Damn left side was put on wrong. Anyways, the problem that I'm having is with the clamp for the hose and putting the hose all the way down onto the plug for the lower charge pipe. Any tips for this?

I can't seem to find the right angle to get it down....

P.S. it's a hahn lower charge pipe.

Either you put the vac hose on BEFORE you try to install the pipe or you do it from underneath once the pipe is on. Putting the new one on is easy compared to getting the stock one off. The stock coupler that connects to the I/C is a BIATCH to get off.

On the HHR pulling the radiator brackets (10mm) up off top and lifting it out the bottom helped out tremendously.

Possibly on the Cobalt as well?

I installed mine while I was switching my intake manifold. It was easy that way but the IM is a pain to get on and off haha.

X2 i had to be so careful not to scratch the nice beautiful powder coat job on the IM when reinstalling it haha. but yea, the lowering CP is a bit of a biotch. do it from under the car though IMO.

its really not that bad...... you guys are complaining over the 2.5" pipes..... imagine doing it with 3" and 2.75" piping.... no where near as easy.

Its cause its the Hahn. They're a bitch. My Hahn was a pita.

Also my zzp lower pipe made it a whole lot easier.

the pipes are all pretty much the same. are they the easiest pipe to install in the world? no....go try working on a 3000gt or stealth with twin turbos....then you can complain about piping.

No they're not. The Hahn has the most direct route to the throttle body from the inter cooler which makes it the tightest and hardest fit out of any other pipe because all others follow the same route as the stock lower piping. And if you want hard try an Audi s4. Much harder than a stealth or 3000gt.

been their done that...... or the piping or exhaust on the twin turbo bmws. theres a lot of cars out their that are a royal nightmare to do.

the hahn really isnt that bad and nore are the rest. the hardest one ive had to get in is my 3" reverse flow piping for the cobalt. probablly just sucks for you guys doing it on your back.

i just pull the intake maifold off, and if you remove the main fuel line where it connects to the HPFP it is 100% easier. i just had to put on the new zzp lower, and thats how i did it. took me less then 30 mins

Try TurboXS with 3 bar sensors and a TR8 beta kit. Twice the piping, double the fun. (and chances for a boost leak)

Ugh.

The TR8 comes with the extra elbows between the IC and the charge pipes. Does the 10 have that setup too? 4 clamps and 2 couplers at each end of the IC was something I wasn't a fan of, but on the other hand, it sure gave more flexibility for mounting and location, which I really really was a fan of.

Yep. exact same setup. Getting the elbow in the stock lower CP was a HUGE pain in the ass.

i threw wrenches at my truck trying to get the lower charge pipe on in anger, then when I did get it on I did a tuned pull on the highway and popped it off and went into limp mode LOL. Urge to kill rising.
