I need a personalized clutch recommendation

It's looking like our 2009 Cobalt SS/TC might be needing a clutch.

I'm looking for something that has at least as much bite as the stock clutch, but is maybe lighter? The stock clutch just feels so heavy for that car, and we're not getting any younger.

If you think the stock clutch is heavy you should feel my Clutch Masters Stage 4 lol

Of course mine is not a daily. Boy, my life would suck if I was stuck in traffic

If your stock pedal feels heavy either something is wrong or you need more protein in your diet and a few squats and lunges.

Ya that's what I'm thinking ^^^^ I didn't think stock clutch is very heavy at all but I do drive cranes and tractor trailers for a living so my judgement might be off getting in and out of so many didn't pieces of equipment

Looks like your phone's judgment is off as well when it comes to voice-to-text

My advice to OP is buy a French car they handle like a sponge lmao

It's very possible that the clutch is just fine and the clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced.

When I purchased my current SS, the clutch pedal felt weird/heavy as it got closer to the floorboard. I replaced the clutch MC, bled it thoroughly and it's perfect again. I'd also suggest replacing the factory line that runs from the clutch MC to the distribution T that sits on top of the transmission with a braided line. That was also another huge improvement.

Best of luck.

Agree with above. If you think stock is heavy, either something else is wrong or you don't have a good gauge of heavy vs. light. This clutch is stiffer than my Acura was (ridiculously light), on par with most, and way lighter than performance clutches. I used to be a valet in college so I got a really good sample size back then. I remember an SVT Cobra that made my calf sore just bringing it out of the garage.

my STi clutch is horrible to drive. its easily 2 or 3 times the GMPP Clutch in terms of pressure. but its rated to 500 wtq.

OP, get the GMPP. its super easy to DD. I have it in my SS

And to me it's a really light clutch. My old 4cyl truck was harder than the gmpp.
So far I've put it through boosted launches at the track on slicks and it hasn't changed. Won't take it forever, but will hold more than it's rated for. I'm at 370whp.
