IC-BOV-Intake Combination Inquiry
Howdy Cobalt SS.net,
Alright, after much searching and reading and the like, I've pretty much got an idea of whats decently good to go with combination wise, but me being impatient has me already wondering a few things. So you LNF guys will have to chime in with opinions/facts here for me.
1) Intake: I planned on going with DEJON SRI with the recirc tube welded on and the AEM dry filter with a silicone reducer from 2.75 to 2.25. Now, my question with this intake is this that I cannot find a definite answer on. The "Check valve and small K&N filter to fit the end of the Valve Cover Vent Tube" option. I was doing some research on check valves (I know what the other part of the option is :P), and this is the best definition I could find.
"This valve mounted between the reservoir and the pump inlet is used to keep boost from reverting back through the reservoir during the pre-injection state."
Would someone mind shedding a little bit of light on this for me? And is it even worth it to get the recirc welded on if I get the Synapse BOV with the anti stall?
2) I've been up in the air between Dejon's and Synapse's IC pipings, but I think I'm going to decide on the Synapse with their Synapse BOV mounted on. Now, I'm thinking that it would be better to forgo the anti stall kit and just recirc it with the DEJON upgraded spring and Hahn Block off plate, instead of getting the anti stall kit. Is my thinking correct or flawed with this? Any light shed would be helpful
On a side note I am note tuned yet, but I was thinking of getting all my bolt ons (the above ones along with the hahn downpipe [haven't decided between catless or not, depends on if I can pass emissions in Illinois without the cat or not ], and the hahn IC) and then getting a CIA/Trifecta tune.
But yeah, any help and knowledge into this would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.

I have the dejon intake. ill be honest..its put together pretty poorly..but with the right modifcations it acctualy turns out not bad.
im using it beccause it was practicaly given to me.
t-clamps solves all your problems.
if your buying one new...spend the extra money for a CIA intake

[QUOTE=Scythe_Snake;4004772]Ok, will do Steddy. Do you have a suggested tune I should get 1st? And yeah I know the BOV wasn't NEEDED, but I was going to pick one up none the less, eh? =)
Custom tune with Hp Tuners is the best way to go.
My Dejon intake was kinda a PITA to get on the turbo inlet all the way because of the way it is rigged with a coupler inside another coupler but it is on there just fine now with no leaks now I have though of buying a different coupler but IIRC the inlet on the turbo is 2 3/8" not 2 1/4" or 2 1/2"

You will pass emissions in illinois all you have to do is make sure that you don't get a cel and if you do then erase it with hp tuners. And as far as a tune goes I would definately do a custom street tune with hp tuners

How am I dick again?
Nothing but truth in that post.
BOV is pointless on the stock turbo, stock recirc does the job just fine, and a tune should be the first thing you do to an LNF so you don't have to worry about the learn down and what not.
Not only that, you may find you don't want anything more after a tune.
Every retard on this site seems to run out and get an intake and a BOV as their first mods like speds.
Stock intake is a pretty good piece, and other things should be addressed first, like a tune and a downpipe.

hey ill agree, and what i said my first post in this thread? the dejon is put together poorly..with a few simple modifications its fixed.
would i buy one new? no never.
used..for 100 bucks..yes i would and i did.
is it better then a drop in? i would say so..by alot? probably not. but for the extra 50 dollars..it was worth it to me.
