naaa, if that were the case then it would reflect in his torque numbers as well.. can't keep making torque with a slipping clutch

It's crazy the torque numbers our SS/TC's are putting down.

Let's look at some supercars and compare the torque outputs...

BMW M5/M6 (5.0 Liter V10) - 384 ft.lb at the crank.....approx. 338 at the wheels

Ferrari 599 (6.0 Liter V12) - 448 ft. lb at the crank....approx. 395 at the wheels

Lambo LP-670 Superveloce (6.5 Liter V12) - 487 at the crank....approx. 413 at the wheels

And then here comes the Cobalt's putting down over 400 at the wheels from a 2.0 Liter with releative ease...incredible amount of grunt from such a small engine.....just amazing

And all for the bargain basement price of an oil change on one of those cars!

HPTuners holds better power throughout the power band...

30psi is over spinning the turbo getting super HIGH torque and a short powerband.

Post your sheet though, I would like to see it!

at this point it doesn't look like he will ever post his graphs.. most likely because they are all choppy with tons of peaks and dips I'm guessing.. I know from personal experience with the infiniboost.. Great tune, as long as you stay a little on the conservative side with the boost otherwise your powerband looks like a steaming pile of poop..

Yeah, I could have guessed that.

I've still been within 6wtq of that number on 22psi though!

Nice.. what bolt-ons are you running? I've seen quite a few HPtuned guys making some nice numbers like that even with the limited tables and boost.. I'm wondering if the trifecta's weak point is how rich it runs as compared to the hptunes? Not really sure though.. How much air are you moving as well? I think at the moment I'm at 32lbs/min, but I think Term said he's flowing something like 35lbs/min running 2-3psi less boost than me.. then again all I have for bolt-ons is a CAI and catback so I'm a bit restricted at the moment

Term, myself and Revhigh all have similar tunes....

Partially based on one anothers.... although now Revhigh is on meth... BUT

I'm basically running Terminators MAF tables... my DALs and fueling and Area47's timing map!

20* of timing is lots of fun!

And just added the Synapse intercooler tonight

Projekt... are you done gloating... it just goes to show BOOST doesn't equal more power son!

are you seriously saying IM gloating? please go back to the "number 1" pedistal you belive you belong on.

your afr is around the same i run, congrats. your timing is more, you run higher octane, more mods and you BRAG in a infiniboost thread about running (lesser) numbers then proven..congradulations.

Nah Vince doesn't do much timing work from what I have seen... I dont' think they think YOU rigged the dyno...

But it can happen to make "customers" happy about it. I have seen it done personally! Get an Intercooler quickly though... your IATs are pretty high!

hmm, maybe I will see what can be done with some more timing then.. I think I've got a few degrees in there, but nothing close to 20..

Boost can equate to more power obviously, just not when your blower can't keep up.. hense me only pushing 24-25psi on my infinitune.. 30psi is really just pointless with the K04 IMO
