Injen Intake System!!!

Newest Addition to my '08 Cobalt SS Turbocharged.

Have to say I love how it sounds along with the BOV!!! FYI - for install: You will only need to remove the headlight and bracket as well. Not difficult to install!

P.S. Thanx to NGA Motorsports for the awesome pricing!!!

They'll be releasing charge piping and exhaust for the ss/tc as well. Just gotta be patient and wait.

hows running the BOV into the atmosphere working for you? are you tuned so you dont have to recirculate it?

No issues as of a month after install. No tuning has been done to the car yet.

There would be a sound difference between the two. One lets air out, and the other puts it back in the intake.

I ran my BOV both ways. Running it to atmosphere did give it a sweet sound when blowing off but just a mere second after blow off with all that metered air leaving the system caused the engine to bog and jerk a bit. I was not tuned for it and also used the Synapse Engineering BOV. Different BOV or a tune may net better results. After i got my intake with a recirc fitting ive been running my BOV that way. Sound is muffled and unless you were to know what was under the hood, you would prob. have a hard time relating that sound to the BOV. No engine bog or jerking. Runs just like it did when i was running the stock bypass valve.

Major sound difference b/t them. As "hiltu" describes though, the engine does bog and jerk after blow off, but i only experience it with heavy driving. My suggestion would be if you're going to be driving the car hard, simply press the competation mod button and the BOV won't even go off. I personally like the sound of the HKS BOV, which is the only reason why i'm running it open rather than re-circulate. Eventually i'll tune it, but for now, i'm happy with it.

What is meant by "simply press the competation mod button and the BOV won't even go off"? Are you saying to do that, if you are venting to the atmosphere? If you are running a stock setup, with the competition mode set, is that the only way to no lift shift?
