Installed the new MPx catback today

Just got home from the shop for installation. Im personally impressed with it. First let me say the only mods that i have are K&N drop in filter and then the MPx catback. Im still on the stock downpipe (for now). I believe that its just as described by MPx. Deep full tone. I like the sound when accelerating, even with the windows up and radio up. As stated by MPx, you really can have a conversation on the phone while cruising at 60+. Downshifting was music to my ears lol. Ill try to post pics tomorrow but the videos on the MPx site are a really good representation. Pretty much spot on.

I know i dont post much but since i know many people are looking for some feedback on this exhaust, i felt obligated because the experience was awesome. Cory and the guys from MPx are very helpful and really cool people. Definitely will continue to do business.

this is the camera on my HTC Hero so yea lol

Yeah Fridays in Houston are like that...

Glad to hear you like it! I called them today to see if the car would be around tomorrow, but they said one of their employees had their car breakdown recently and it is being used for DD duty for a while. They said it'd be around sometimes during the week, so I'm going to call and head over to hear it if it's around.

You should check out GMofHouston.com. There are many TC owners like you.

when will people realize catbacks do not give power gains? It changes the tone and appearance of the metal lunchbox looking thing. It might free up some back-pressure too, which could account for a couple of HP....but you get a catback for tone and better appearance!

Yea its tricky trying to see their cobalt. Ive been several times but havnt seen it once. Im getting that catted dp so we'll see if it sounds different, which it should since stock has 2 cats. Im on GMofHouston, i just stay soo busy. I'll most likely be at prince's for next meet though. Its just 10 min from me so not really an excuse lol.

Its hard to really appreciate an exhaust when your listening to a recording through computer speakers. How loud is the exhaust? Do you have the right volume on your computer speakers to appreciate the exhaust ? We'll never know.

I can tell you firsthand, that the MPx exhaust is about 10% louder than the Hahn.

Whichever one your a fan of, thats fine by me, Id just hate for someone to make up their mind on just a video. I hope we can have more MPx exhaust owners chime in with their opinions !

haha well i am going to lower my car on pedders this spring/summer. hell my exhuast hits now. lol

it does look like a equal quality system to the hahn which is a little too quiet for me but im fine with it especially since i paid for it already.

as for my speakers they satisfy my needs when listening to the recordings of my cars.

i didnt really mean to talk **** about this system i was just saying i wont be jumping over to buy this

Im thankful for companies that are helping the LNF community out. MPx, ZZP Hahn, Werks, CIA, alot of others. Looking forward to the years to come!!

I might be buying this too...

my brother bought MPx's pseudo-dual kit for his C-SRT4 ( LINK ) ~ I just wish I could get a kit like that for my Cobalt... call me old school, I just like the duals look.
The only company to offer any dual setup is SLP, and even then it's a catback kit for the LSJ, and costs more than this (MPx) LNF 3" catback plus the (MPx) LNF catless headpipe...

I'm going to hold off on this purchase till later this spring... or early summer - but I agree it is nice to see companies adding LNF-Cobalt items to their catalogs.

I know what you mean. I like the look of duals too. It's probably something to do with the eye liking symmetry or something.

They noticed it on the GTO, for instance, and went from dual on one side to one on each side.

i had my speakers all the way up and the volume on the video all the way up.

all in all i'd say this exhaust is pretty loud.
