Intercooler Mock Up.

Went to Dejon Powerhouse today to help fit Dave's new intercooler. Should have it on and running next weekend. Never really heard much of them, but he said its pretty decent. Getting it for free for helping so I cant complain : ) Any opinions on it are appreciated. Like I said really know nothing about it, and dont want to have something that is junk/cause problems in the long run.

Just a tiny bit lol. He wanted to start selling bigger ones for his turbo kits so I can live with it being big with just costing me gas lol.

I agree. But for right now it works for me until I have the cash to buy a zzp/treadstone. And so I dont have to worry about my stock end tanks over the winter.

I used to have the same core for the Dsm. Never had a problem with it. It had a bar that went across the top and mounted to the crash bar bolts. Looks good

its def not a 31", cause my core is 28" or 28.5". and the inner bolts on the crash bar are only 30.5"

i would still save up for a properly sized one. but like you said, its free, and you won't have to worry about broken end tanks.

If u ever plan of going bigger turbo then hang onto it. If u plan to stay stock turbo then I'd maybe sell it off to acquire an i/c that isn't so tall

height has nothing to do with it alone. you need to look at the dimensions overall. its a big intercooler none the less. he doesnt need it on the stock turbo

so what im getting at is, is it bad to run this big of an intercooler on a stock turbo? or is it just the fact its like putting mud tires on a a truck that wont leave the highway?

if anything, it will lose some power compared to a properly sized ic...as far as compared to stock, might still lose power

Mishimoto is one of the largest producers of intercoolers/radiators/etc. for OEM and aftermarket use. Not a cheap chinese core.

I run that same intercooler except in black on my car. I wont be using anything other than Mishimoto from now on. The warranty on these intercoolers include accident coverage. If you have a front end collision and the intercooler is damaged, Mishimoto will replace it free of charge. That speaks volumes.
