hey guys so ever since spring came around and it started hotter iv had this p2187 code (lean at idle) that will not leave ! iv tried clearing it again and again and it wont leave me alone !
I cleaned my o2 sensor cleaned my maf updated my tune changed my plugs gapped them properly .32 switch to 94 octane gas still keeps comming back no matter what ...

I have a hahn cai so i zip tied the oil feeder line like in old thread said to try but still nothing.

So now i really dont know were to go from here car idle's fine, runs fine when i get the code cleared so just wondering if you guys had any ideas what is going on or have experience with this plz let me know !

You have a boost leak and everytime I see that code on someones car it is a large leak. The last customer who had it had a hole in the plastic end tank the size of a half dollar. Have you bottomed out the front of the car doesn't take much?

 

No def not that I can remember but I figured it wasent a boost leak because I hold boost up too 22 psi and hold it constent but I didn't look into it I still have stock ic. But that's all other other then that its fully bolted also have coilovers so it is a possibility .

 

PM DBlock and see if he ever figured out what his solution was to this code.

It's usually a vac leak at the intake or bad fuel trims from an intake.

 

Yes all the cars I have seen were tuned for the intakes. They had huge boost leaks and throw this code also. Is the op even tuned?

 

Yea I am i have a trifecta tune at 22 psi .. Leads me to another point anyone know were vince is? Haven't heard from him in two weeks sent him two datalogs and two emails still nothing, but I will look for boost leaks tomorrow if my shoulder feels better , when they had huge boost leaks did they hold boost at all?

 

Also I have a maf relocate and tial q bov with a single vac line running from the intake mani, I know someones gunna come in and say ricer but hey its my first boosted car let me have fun

 

Check ur lower map sensor. I had this code after charge pipe install. Cleaned it and hasn't popped up again since then

 

Well, from what I've heard, Vince can't tune for a maf relocate.

Yea that's what iv notice but the car is running super good when the code is off but its not like he's replying so I'm not gunna defend him yet, okay I tried that but I will try it again k train
