What's up guys, I recently installed a k&n sri and zzp dp, got tuned and all, I was just wondering.. I'm still boosting 21psi spike and holds 19, how much can I boost safely? I was thinking about upping the boost a little bit. Thankls!

^very true! just so you know the ko4 starts to loose its efficiency between 22-24 psi and up. After that you are just straining the turbo and pushing hot air into the motor.

I would suspect 21 being a good number for a safe DD. some go 23 some go more... the more the harder you push it like theblack said. The k04 is tiny and doesnt run efficient when pushed high.

Well I've seen some people boosting 24psi and they're fine, so I was just wondering, but I wouldn't go over 24 psi

From my understanding PSI is just showing pressure in the intake, it doesnt mean the motor is using that extra air to pour more fuel in. The motor could be running a 11.0 af and you could get more power by leaning it out a bit w/o affecting the boost pressure.

Hope what I said was relatively correct

Yeah PSI doesn't mean everything, I'm at 24 and I haven't had any problems whatsoever...

I wouldn't go past 24 I'd say thats the limit...IMO

You're going to need to goto a combo tune to be able to hold more boost. Or hound HPT for the tables they owe us lol. I can bet on which will come first

I'm tuned for 23, but since I live in Colorado I only get about 21 psi. Vince even said due to my altitude he doesn't wanna push it too much, the turbine is already maxed on my car.

yeah...damn Ohio is such a ridiculous state. It started getting warmer this weekend and I was hoping it would just keep on getting warmer so I could do it this upcoming weekend..woke up this morning to a thin layer of snow on my car, and it appears it will remain chilly and rainy all week. sonofabitch.

I have a fix that does not involve a combo tune. Just carefully tighten the WG rod until it holds 22,23,24psi. I have been running a shortened WG rod on my car ( tightened all the way it holds 24 psi) for at least 6K miles now no issues except it sometimes wants to boost 25 psi at 2K RPMs when I load it up in 3rd gear or higher. I have since tuned most of that boost spike out down low.
