the stock maps go to 22.5psi roughly. I think that I will soon have a non gmpp stage kit on my car with hp tuners, granted I have a HHR. Good luck with the stage kit.

Not true. The "detune" is for a set amount of airload. The map sensor has NOTHING to do with it. All the map sensor does is let you accurately read above 23psi. My RPD on the stock sensors will read out to 25.5psi before it blanks out. More then enough psi for anyone on the stock turbo.

You can expect about 270-275 whp and 300 wrtq and it will be faster than it is now.

Well, I don't know your girlfriend or how she feels about being tossed into seats, so I can't comment on that. But, as with stock, the car will be completely docile unless you tell it not to be. So, how the car treats your girlfriend is completely up to you. I would imagine the extra 60 lb/ft of torque will be noticeable.

I run stock other than a GMS1 and I love it. Can't see much more power being usable on the street. I spin all the way through second and 3rd torque steers pretty good when stomping the throttle from around 2000 rpm or so. By that time you are well over the speed limit. Don't let anybody else convince you otherwise, your gonna love it!!

You can expect to roast your stockers without proper throttle control in 2nd . I couldn't help it, you'll enjoy it. GMS1 vs Stock is like night and day, the tune is more solid, the hesitations are gone and it pulls more than enough to get me in **** beyond imagination when merging ontot he highway!

. You won't be disappointed with your purchase, at least I haven't been and I drove in the snow with it for 6 months. I have only had the chance to really get on it (and hold it to the road) in the last few weeks....I'm satisfied.

Get those soft ass tires off and I'll be seeing you in about two weeks.
I am getting my parts on the first day I get my car to work......
Mine just might sound a little meaner

the GMS1 is really good but what i did was get the trifecta tune ontop of it which took mine from 290 hp 320 tq to 330 hp and 380 torque... at 23 psi

Those "soft ass snow tires" in this 13C weather are like glue on the road, no matter what I do they won't break loose except mashing on it in 1st . I'd like to get them off, but the end of March is always the problem and I don't wanna get stuck in ice storms with the stockers again.

I cannot wait to tune on top of mine in a few days. My clutch and tires are really going to hate me soon.

I keep reading posts about gains to be had tuning on top of GM Stage 1 kit. Anything note worthy aside from the upgraded sensors that attributes to this?

I think your clutch is a goner. Looking forward to your tune report. I may take the sensor plunge after you do.

Big torque gains and a huge increase in HP under the curve especially in the midrange. A long while ago when the Stage 1 kit first came out ADM got 345 whp and 395 wrtq on an HHR with Catless DP, CP, IC and the stock airbox! Factor in the gains for a good intake at those flow levels and you will see over 400 wrtq and 360+ whp
