Just wanna get it right.

Okay so I have a 09 ss with kn intake, zzp downpipe and intercooler. And im hptuned. 23Lbs. And I am going to order charge piping pretty soon. And I want to run a blow off valve 100% atmospheric and from what ive reserched I need a lower charge pipe with maf relocate (I decided on the zzp one) and a upper charge pipe with a bov flange, then just run the hose from the bpv and run it straight to the bov and put the block off plate on the bpv. Then of course get tuned for it. Am I missing anything? And I plan on getting a bigger turbo this summer so this isnt totally pointlwas lmao so to sumarize which upper charge pipe to get and do I have everything else right? Thanks for the help ! Also can I run any bov I want? I really like the hks but ive heard nothing but bad things about those on our cobalts. Idk why though.

what u want a bov for, is the bpv not loud enough for ya? lol. running bov with stock turbo is apperently sucky to tune. but u have an option. u could get trifecta tuned and get their new tune that disables the maf and u dont have to relocate it to run a bov, with the tune it will work fine, and also, if ur getting a big turbo, look into getting the zfr from zzp, cheaper then pretty much every other upgrade cause all u need is the turbo and oil/water line kit they send with it. bolts right on, looks identical to stock, but quite a bit bigger. easily run over 450 whp with it.

i have a bov and theres nothing wrong with my tune, i didnt even get tuned for my bov, or have a maf relocate been running my car like that for over 5 months, its hit or miss with sum balts on adding the bov with a tune and without, what you have listed is the "right" way to add a bov i used a treadstone blockoff plate though, theres a few of us who will chime in others will say get a Forged BPV and be done with it but its your car and wutever you WANT to add we should just be supportive with the info. Gud luck on choosing one I run a Tial Type Q and love it under 3k makes my car seem like its laughing at slower ones.

Thanks bro how do your bov set up? Just straight up ran the vacuum line off of the bpv and put it on your bov? And also what upper charge pipe do you have?

if you're gonna get a bigger turbo anyways, then just keep the parts on the shelves and install it all at once. Doing it right is one thing, doing it at the right time is important as well.

silverbullet knows how to make a speed-density tune with HPT, I believe. Go on the hpt forums and look it up.

i do not run anything from the BPV i run it off the IM, i didnt read the post inbetween but if your going bigger turbo you should wait on the BOV and get that the charge piping and all other hardware at once, would be correct but I DID NOT DO IT THAT WAY, like i said its your car your final word i did mines before i went bigger turbo, nothing wrong with that since you need one when u upgrade, But like my post some balts are finicky when it comes to adding a bov without a tunr or maf relocate i had no issue and my HPtune had me at 27lbs. about 2 months after i installed it, so if you add it and your car acts funny there nothing you can do but buy what you need to get it to run right( maf relocate maf extension harness and re-tune), to answer your question i have full hahn piping but just brought ZZP piping off a mbr, he had a maf relocate lower pipe which i needed and when he sold the upper i just got it so they can match.

Its very weird how our cars are the same but diff when it comes to similar mods lol, heres my sound clip when it flutters im always next to a civic or sumtin makes it seem like my car is laughing at their Vtec lol i love it:

BUMP trifecta Hp to me way better a much more broader way of tuning to your specific car and driving style.
