K&N Stainless Oil Filter!?

Hey Folks! I found this on K&N website and I was surprised that they made stainless steel oil filter for our car! But the problem is that these thing cost $200 bucks! LOL! I was completely blown away from this and just thought post it up here. Here's the link. K&N part SS-7000 information

Yeah, I've read that. It's not related to oil filter...They were talking about the filter. I dunno why they put it there ? Maybe that save their embarrassment for their outrageous price! SMH

For lasting the life of the car, that's not horrible, expensive but is still cheaper than always buying new one, depending where u live I guess, I pay 17 after tax for mobile 1 filter so after 3 years it's payed for itself. I'd get it if it was 100. 200 is to much still

Yeah i agree with tom it will probably be the last filter you will need, so afterwards all you would need is the oil

Dang you get raped in Canadia. $6 via Amazon. It would take 33 oil changes for it to pay for itself for me. Assuming 5,000 miles per oil change, that's over 160k miles. I'm waaaayyyy too impatient for that. Also, like someone posted elsewhere, I'd need some data to say it's as good as a paper filter. Their rechargeable air filters aren't as good at filtering, so it's hard for me to believe that this would be. I'd much rather replace each time.
