Who knows a place where you can get this done? I've google'd it like a 1000 times. I get BTF, but I can't find their site. And Auto PerformanceWerks. Anyone else do it? Lemme know. Thanks
BaldTurboFreak went into industrial machine work in the tough economy, I read that he couldn't make any $$$ in the custom turbo business. Bad economy = survival mode for many of us.
Have you seen this thread:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-1...4-gt28-226844/ |
I have not...reading it now
1300 down the drain for not much of a gain. Only one i care about looking at is there stage two setup turbo.the more expensive one
performanceautowerks.com they have it there. Talk to mkriebs. pm him.
does this work on the cobalt, anyone seen any dynos?
yea I just want a little something else, without doing a massive turbo swap ordeal...
you can squeeze some power out of a + with tuning. But really...ONLY if you want to stay on a stock turbo. If you want power, you will want to go big turbo...theres no denying that, the + does cost a pretty penny for what it is.
That thread is like 40 pages deep. Can someone some up how much power they actually got outa it? I'm running meth too. I duno if that matters at all
nobody has dynoed yet. however they *think* that the stage 2 is good for somewhere around 370-400 whp. and the stage 1 is good for about 340-370. i think some more can be pulled out of that tho since theres stock turbo guys on 340whp with meth.
do you have a link or anything to these different stages? Sorry I'ma pain in the ass...
edit...nvm i found it  |
well stock turbo running near 340whp is pushing efficiency. So a upgraded + turbo can just do that power more easily. I think its a good idea and very worthwhile if someone wants to stay stock turbo and stock turbo look. You just need to tune and pay a little more for the +

sam you can spend the same amount of money buying a log manifold and getting a turbo. and youll get more power out of it.... and guess wut i can still tune you lol
I'm debating as well if I want to go with a bigger turbo or the BNR upgrade. My goal is 400whp, I still want the car to be reliable and sensible so that's all I need. I like how easy the BNR upgrade is, but I also like the idea of looking behind the valve cover and seeing a big hunk of meat back there!! So here I am in a dilemma! lol
