Kind of a n00b

Well I have a 09 Cobalt SS TC and I'm looking to upgrade the performance as much as I can and don't really know what to get. I see AEM has a CAI for it and I'm thinking about getting that, but as far as downpipes and exhaust and such I'm not sure. I was thinking of just a custom straight pipe for exhaust, what is the most popular downpipe out there? What else can I do with minimul modification to get more power?

Do a ZZP catless downpipe, K&N drop in filter, and a tune. All that on your car = new car

If you want more power you have to get a tune first. learn down has to be disabled.

smax is by far the best intercooler out IF your looking to go with the integrated c02 kit which is just bad ass. people complain about how much but i mean honestly how much would it cost to put a cyro kit on the hahn intercooler? i mean with s max you could have it annonized in black aswell like mine for a stealthy appearnace. if thats out of budget i would go with a crazy steve intercooler because i think the hahn is just a waste of money.

also one other thing. get your bolt on parts and THEN get a tune. theres no point to re-tune everytime you get something new.

Get tuned. For less then the cost of pretty much any other performance mods it will become a new car. In order of importance: 1. tune 2. DP (15-20 whp) 3. Mod your stock airbox. 4. Chargepipes because the stock ones are plastic. 5. IC. 6. 3" catback ( worth 6 whp or so)

Or you can do it that way. Best bang for the buck is a tune though.

What he said^^^^^^^

Skip spending anything on an intake until we can get logs of the CIA CAI. I took my AEM CAI off last weekend after tuning for it for weeks. Airbox mod FTW!
