I have never really used launch control yet. I have put the car in Launch Control mode and then have done some hard launches, but have used the Red Line part of launch control. I was wondering if i launch it with out hitting the redline thing, does the car still limit the torque and stuff for less wheel spin, or do u have to hold it to the floor to use it?

steps

1 competitive mode at a stop.
2 depress clutch
3 put in first gear
4 gas all the way to the floor and hold it there even during shifting (nls) you will redline then it will hold at about 5000rpm
5 let the clutch out (somewhat slowly) don't just dump it.

with practice you should be able get better launches without using it though!
