LNF Rear Rotor Pics
I had the car on a lift yesterday.
I have 300 miles on the bitch and the rears look pretty bad compared to front.
Fronts:

Rears:

Am I just being crazy or is this normal. I thought most braking was up front, but the fronts look clean
UPDATE: I am an idiot.
The guys over at genuineSaab were working on my car and I asked them about my rear brakes. He took a flashlight to it and noticed that the brakes aren't even broke in yet.
If you look at the brake with a light you will see black lines that go 2 directions diagonally across the face of the rotor. He said this is the factory machining material and it still is not rubbed off yet. Essentially the pad isn't flat and is making what look like grooves in the machining. He said once the machining is gone then you can actually determine if something is wrong. Essentially the rotor isn't broken in and isn't in to the good rotor material yet.

It is the aggressive pads.
It is ok, despite the 32894789023562347648923764789234678923423462354 fanbois who are going to come in here and cry about this that and the other in about 4 seconds.

I'm gonna really try to and be sweet on it. The guys that were working on the car work on Saab cars and actually just converted the Brembos to work on some of their Saab vehicles. They thought they were a little too worn, but it could have been aggresive people test driving. The fronts look so good though.
The Saab guys do have Brembo blanks that they had grooved for better performance. They look amazing and if my rotors go out i will be going to them.

They had to replace my pads and machine my rotors at 6k miles and I am mostly highway miles. Almost no hard braking. The rotors are too soft or the pads are too agreesive or a little of both. I will get different pads next time if this happens again.
Well after a thousand or 2 I will recheck them and see what you guys think. I ran my fingernail across the face of it and it wouldn't catch so they aren't really deep, but they are there.
I do not care what anyone says. That is not normal wear. GM needs source a different alloy brake rotor that is harder if they are installing those agressive pads. My rears would have lasted less than 20K miles that is rediculous when you have to replace the rears more often than the fronts considering the fronts provide roughly 80% of your braking force.

There seems to be a lot of people with SS/TC that have rear brake complaints. Mine sometimes make squealing noises at low speed. A lot of the problems appear related to GM's use of high performance metallic rear pads. Think I'm just gonna pull mine off at some point and replace them with Hawk ceramic pads. A few people have also reported the caliper bracket has extra flashing that rubs the rotor, this might be the case if you see a couple deep grooves. Grind the extra material off the bracket seems to be the fix for that.

I looked mine over pretty good a couple of days ago when it was on the lift getting an oil change. Front rotors look great, rear rotors have a few little grooves, but not bad like some I've seen. I have 3400 miles on the car now. Trouble is, dealerships have a bulletin that says they should tell the customers a little noise is common. There are a lot of posts on this subject. These cars don't have a lot of problems, but you have stumbled across one of the common problems.

True, but I think pictures at 250 miles is pretty good as well. Does anyone have pictures of their rotors at 10k?
