The hyper single is really nice... I have one (going to put it in next weekend) but I am a little concerned.. In the documentation that comes with the hypersingle (directly from Excedy), it states "MAX torque is 345 lb/Ft". Im already putting down more than that. I guess only time will tell if this was $1100 well spent!

You must have a freakishly strong stock clutch or you constantly baby your car. It certainly has nothing with learning how to drive. I have owned and regularly driven 10,11 and 12 second manual transmission cars for years and I would get 50,000 miles or more out of those clutches before even a hint of slip showed up...and those were driven quite hard.
Once the tune was put on the SS/TC, it just over powers the clutch when full boost kicks in. I think the stock clutch just isnt that robust in terms of handling torque over 340ish.
What mods do you have for 393 tq? Please don't say just a tune....I would like to see a different dyno do the run if that is the case.

seriously, the rpm where you would make that torque would be the same rpm that would cause epic slippage on the clutch on the street.... Learn to drive my ass more like Learn to drive my ass to a realistic dyno.
Roll into throttle 2nd gear 3500rpm... spins
roll into 3rd at 3300, slips till 4k
roll into 4th at 3700 slips to 4k
The slippage happens 100% of the time when cooler than 65 degrees and RARELY when above 80
This is happening because of 2 variables
-The clutch takes a while to warm up and the material cant handle that much torque until really hot. My commute is 20 miles and its only grabby for the last 2 miles.
-The car is developing a whole hell of alot more torque when its chilly out.
but, my clutch must be glazed/shotbecause it slips even with the mild trifecta tune.
Ill be running stock tune until the exedy is in and broken in.
The capacity for the LNF clutch is probably 300lbft to the wheels. Too bad the Kbodys have such a superior drivetrain, RWD/trans/clutch oh well....
