Major computer issues-U0073
Hi, ive been having an issue the past couple months with my 2010 LNF. It started with the gauges dying randomly ranging from less than a second to minutes long, however this didnt effect the RPD which still read accurately. Several readings would read ---, including Trip A and B and ambient air temp. After a while this became more and more frequent and started throwing ESC, ABS, and TC codes in the gauges. Once the gauges kicked back on, the TC and ABS light would turn off, but the security light would come on. Now its to the point where after an episode, TC and ABS stay lit and the CEL will show U0073 (when i can read it because im getting linking errors now) and i get a no crank until either I clear the code or let the car sit. I think its a fried BCM but I'm really hoping to avoid a dealer. Obviously if this needs Tech 2, i will go to a gm dealer but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No idea. I scanned with a basic OBDII scanner, but all i get is U0073 or more recently linking error. I think it might be in the PS motor. Ive unplugged connections to it and the CEL went away. Im going to run it like that for a while and see if it replicates. If it ends up being that, ill need to replace the motor, issue being its a discontinued part. Im not sure if any cobalt steering column will bolt up, so ill have to do some more research on that.
