Mods for 300 hp

What mOds would it take to get a 09 tc to 300 hp? I'm looking into getting one just wondering what I would have to spend to get to 300 hp

How much do tunes run normally? That's running on 91 pump gas?

$250 tune does it. K&n intake and cat less dp for another $350 or so will kick it to about 330hp

K&N SRI Intake, Catless Downpipe and Tune. Then get Upper/Lower Chargepiping and Intercooler and be set. With any good tuner, you will easily be at the 330HP area

You could always remote tune with trifecta, or buy hptuners and have somebody tune you though email's.

I recently went with trifecta and dont regret it at all.

Yep, you pretty much pay for the tune and cable. They send the cable to you which you plug into your laptop, then into your car. Vince sends you your tune and you upload it yourself with your laptop. Then all you have to do is datalog your balt and send the log back to him, and he will send a new tune with fixes or alterations. And then its rinse and repeat until your dialed in. I currently am running his select a tune. GMS1 when cruise control on, then a 22psi 93 tune when cruise control is off. And its night and day between the 2.

So on some tunes you loose your cruise control? I only have 91 pump gas here. How exactly does a tune work? I'm not very good with cars yet lol

Nah, i just wanted a stock tune for when im not going all out so i made the switch my cruise control button, plus that way if i go somewhere that doesnt have 93 i can keep GMS1 on and fill up with 91. You can tell him you want a 91 tune and thats what he will make for you. Tune just changes things on your ECU, makes your car run more efficiently with mods. Or push higher boost. Cant think of another way to explain how a tune works, kinda tired lol.

Not sure on gas motors, but on a diesel a tune changes everything.. Timing, the point to when the injectors dump the fuel, boost, pretty much whatever can be changed with the ecu will be.

Also not sure on gas but wouldn't it raise emission? or could you still pass even with a tune?

Exactly. It's easy to talk negatively about the competition.

Not making it into a argument, but truth hurts when someone spends 300$ on a tune then switches to another because of issues, or the fact the time never gets done.

Op you want to know which tuning source is better ?

Depends on your wants and proof if it's running to where it should.

300whp on 91 would prolly be close to max you could get maybe 310. From what I've seen most high dyno numbers are on 93,with meth or on E blend. You have E85 available?
