Arrow muffler delete?

i think im gonna go this week and take off the muffler and run straight pipe so i have a little more sound to my car, but im woundering for those that have done this, does it cause any problems i need to know about, and does it get so loud that cops hate you. i watched a couple vids on youtube and seems okay, not horribly loud. thanks guys for any input.

A lot of the LNF guys run the muffler delete, it does sound good

I would get a catless downpipe for starters and then if you want a little louder I would go with a muffler delete

I think you might be close enough to just drive to zzp and buy their catless dp, then you dont have to pay for shipping lol $199 you cant beat it

yes its really not loud at all. The only problem I have is I get some raddle sound near where the cat is when I start the car. Other than that though I love it.

I've had mine off for several weeks now and it sounds great IMO. There is a light by my house that pins you under an overpass when red and taking off under that sounds amazing.

you can hear the turbo through it... just not in our vids... mine sounds almost identical to that to be honest... maybe not quite as loud

So what exactly do you have to do, just take it to a muffler shop and have them cut out the muffler? And I'm guessing they'll weld a pipe in where the muffler used to be. I'd like to get this done soon. Sounds so good.

yep, they cut that big ass muffler off, weld a straight pipe, and weld tip back on, and done. will sound so much better.

I had my Hahn catback's muffler cut out..... they just weld in a if stock 2.75" piece of pipe or 3" whatever out to the tailpipe...

in my case just a 3" piece of pipe

How are they managing to weld it while it's still on the car? I'm kind of surprised that they're not just doing a slip fit with the new muffler.

Been considering this, simply because I can't hear what I'm doing with the throttle in my track vids. I was thinking I'd cut the muffler off, have the tip welded onto the new pipe/mini muffler, and then have it slip fit to the rest of the exhaust.

Anyone go that route instead of attempting to weld in place?

i am straight piped with a 4.5' tip and its not too loud and it sounds like a srt-4 kind of.... it is loud enough that cops might harass you tho but i stay in a higher gear if im around them... especially if you lived in an enclosed town were sound bounces off houses or wall then the car seems to be loud but in the open those honda rice burners are much louder
