Yesh.. GMS1 is a hair shy of. I'm sure that the other awesome tuners blow that out of the water.. esspecially the Tq.

With a clutch like that just get an E blend or Full E tune. Should see 350 and maybe close to 400 ftlbs. Good tires and bags with 2.1 60s will get you 12s for sure .

Well considering that i have seen a vid on youtube of a completely bone stock cobalt with trifecta 22psi with absolutely no mods running a 13.3. I am pretty confident that my intake, exhaust, tire, and clutch with deff get me in the 12's.

Also, if anyone like's this build list it's costing me exactly $2683.99. That even includes keeping trifecta cable, mounting tires, shipping, and paying my buddy $200 to help. ENJOY!

Not saying you wont all depends on your driving skills, car will definately be capable. Lots of people think they can drive their car until they hit the track. I have seen plenty of cobalts both tc and sc go down the track that cant crack anything close to what the car can actually run.

60ft is going to be the key so best of luck and keep us posted how it does.

Can't get car tuned until it has been put together :-) Like I said it is going to be tuned 22psi by Trifecta.

Very well said. I have plenty of track time. I street race every weekend. I have been at the track with 1320's for a couple years. Just sold the 89' Mustang. That's why the Balt is getting the money now. :-)

And yes, I will definitely keep everyone posted. A buddy of mine and I are putting her together May 1st. Then we need to order tires and mount. Get her tuned and let her break in.

you spent 2683.99 on bolt ons to creep just over 300whp. you could have spent 800$ on a 75 wet shot nitrous system and made it a real sleeper.

I would like to share my build and gather some of your thoughts. The idea behind this is to be a sleeper. The car in the driveway is completely bone stock right now. I will compile a list of parts the are in transit and have yet to be ordered. If you guys want, feel free to throw in a guess of whp, wtq, and predicted 1/4 times. I know it isn't a guaranteed number. I am hoping for at least 300whp and a 1/4 time of 12.7 or better. I have spent countless months on this forum trolling and searching. I hope I came up with pretty much the ultimate sleeper here.

Ordered and In transit:

OTTP Stage 2 Rotated Trans Mounts

ZZP Catless Downpipe

ZZP Upper Charge Pipe

ZZP Upgraded Intake Tube

K&N Drop-in

Clutchmaster Stage 4 - 6 Puck

MPx Powerslot Rear OEM Replacement Rotors

Hawk HPS Rear Brake Pads

Not Ordered Yet Until The Staples Are Installed:

Tire (I think buddy said something along the lines of 23540r18 kw2 or something. Something good I don't remember)

Trifecta Select-A-Tune

Please feel free to be a critic. I like feedback. However, mod list will not change. Thank you very much in advance!

-Dave
Thats a good setup, but from experience with that clutch, i have the 4 puck an i have had nothing but problems with it it holds good power but the springs came out twice on it while i was driving, and now since i have the zzp s256 kit and fully forged motor the clutch is hurtin. For your power level it shouldnt be a problem. As far as tires im running mt et street 2 and they are sick they hook up really good. Good luck with your build!!

Cheap - Fast - Reliable
--You can only pick two

Please also look again at the total as it reflects a tune(not a bolt on), a tuning cable(not a bolt on), shipping(not a bolt on), mounting a tire(not a bolt on), brakes(not a bolt on), and a friend helping(not a bolt on)

So if you want to say I wasted money, please say that I wasted $1603.99. That number depends if you count a tire a bolt on as well. If you don't call that a bolt on then the total would be $1353.99. Need I say more? :-) Thank you for your input though. I like constructive criticism.

Any suspension mods?

Your rear is going to squat like a ****, killing your weight transition, and therefore your 60ft times.

As of right now there are no suspension mods. I feel as though the stock suspension will suffice. My intentions are to hit 12.7. I know for a fact a 12.9 is achievable. This car is made to be a street monster not a track monster. I feel if I do suspension it will not be a sleeper anymore. The only thing people are going to possibly notice is the ZZP badge on upper charge, and my tires which wouldn't be bothered to check anyways. If i ever have to get serious there will be suspension and internal engine components added. For now and a couple of years this is the ultimate setup in my books.

When I say street monster I mean that most ricer's dont run under a 14 usually. So I will be able to manage some muscle as well. $$$

Did you look at kentucky clutch? I know they make 6-puck, and ppl have been happy with them, and they might save you some money without sacrificing reliability/performance.

Also, I am in the same thought pattern as you - I just ordered my CAI, FMIC, piping, DP, swappable cat/straight, and cat-back for $1900 shipped. Add a tune and what-not, and I'll be right where you are as far as price.

I did lower mine already though, and the mods in my sig.

I actually got the deal on the clutch from the forum. Cost me 425 shipped.. saved me about 200 bucks.. I did see you guys talking about KY clutch but I went to their site and didn't see anyway to order one. This clutch should do the trick. I see in your sig you have aftermarket BPV. I am assuming it is not a blow-off valve but instead an aftermarket recirc valve. Am I correct? Does anyone know when the correct time would be to upgrade that from stock? Haven't seen much talk about it. Thanks

I apologize, i wasnt insinuating you wasted money, just that if you are planning on being "sleeper" status, youll need a power adder of some sort, i.e. sneaky petes nitrous or a turbo swap. That's when youll start racing guys on the street and winning money. In our neck of the woods, people assume that your fully bolted and tuned already, so you arent gonna be putting one past anyone.
