My SS/TC Sedan Build Thread
alright guys so after long thought and countless nights awake thinking about whether to trade the Sedan in or keep it and build it, i have decided to keep it. I will list my plans below and if anyone has any input or thinks of other routes i should go, please feel free to chime in. Im going to buy an old Jeep Cherokee as my DD while she is undergoing surgery haha
I will also update this thread as time goes and as i get more parts and do installs!
So as of roughly summer time she will go down untill i finish her.
First off:
Looking at the ZZP S256 kit, i wanted to go EFR but who the hell honestly knows when it will be out...i guess if it is out when i decide to buy then ill go that route, if not S256 it is.
MPX Catback w/muffler delete
ZZP Stage 1 Cams
ZZP Springs/Retainers
KY Clutch
HPT
Coilovers - In Transit, i Purchased Stance GR+ from THMotorsports, got a KILLER deal!! Thanks Again Jon!! (05FEB12)
New Tires (idk what kind yet lol)
Powdercoat Valve Cover
Re-Powder my Powell Rear Sway Bar
Flat Black Vynil on center part of hood
Spoiler Delete, and put a little M3 style lip on it - Being Paint Matched and will soon be on its way as well!! (05FEB12)
Thats all i got so far, im looking to make 450whp and call it good, not looking to push her to the max, just want a fun weekend/summer car that will be fast and reliable for the most part. Car is already fully bolted and tuned right now.
I will document progress with pics and what not when the time rolls around. Its going to be a long road because it will be expensive haha. But if anyone has any input please let me know.
Thanks
-Joe

It'll be a worthy build for a beautiful sedan!
As far as tires, it depends on how you drive, how often and what goals you have as far as either circuit track racing, auto-X racing or drag racing.
The NT-05's are a great sticky tire for good cornering and nice straight line. If you're looking into Potenza's, look at the RE-11's -Sick
For a general summer only tire, the ContiExtremeContact DW is a good one if you're concerned about mileage life.

not to be a douche, but your planing on running 450whp without a build bottom end? Dont get me wrong its nice, but how long do you think thats going to last on our stock pistons and rings, rods ect? The motor can hold that but for how long is the question. Just my 2 cent.

Since you're not really building the motor, you won't have much of a down time. Should take no more than a week once all parts are in hand. I would order the kit now bc I'm sure there is a big lead time. They seem rather busy.

Do it! Thats what I have been telling everyone buying an efr, youd be waiting 5 months atleast. The S256ET is the way to go, man. I had been getting ready for it by installing my ZZP intercooler in place of my MPx and installing valve springs this weekend. Cams are coming next month. Good luck man!!!
You should run down to Charleston sometime man, putting the S256 on this week or next week. My kit is being shipped out today so its whichever week I get it.

I have the ZZP S256 stage 3 turbo kit with the catless down pipe and MPX 3 inch exhaust. I added the supertech valve springs, ZZP stage 2 trans with 4.45 gears and stage 4 clutch from them also. Made 452 to the wheels on thier mustang dyno at roughly 27 psi. It was set back to about 425 whp and 25 psi as my final tune, all on 93 pump gas.
