Exclamation Need all LNF guys help w/ wiring harness pictures:

Hey guys,
As some of you know I was having problems with my car, dealer claims I have a wiring harness under the left side of the intake manifold that does not look factory. They say it does not match factory schematics as my wires are grey and they are supposed to be colored. Because of this harness they refused to diagnose my car under warrenty. If people could please take some pictures of their wiring harness and post them in this thread so I can print these pictures out and take them to the dealer to present my evidence. This is assuming you all have the same 3 grey wires going into your harness as I have never touched mine and I believe their schematics to be wrong.

Here are some pics of mine so I can show you guys were its at, its right under the Radiator hose, and please take one close up and 1 far away. Thanks for all your help!!

if that is the fuel pressure sensor, and i think it is, the three wires on si schematics show a tan, yel,and gry wires. what your dealer should understan is service information was created by humans that will make mistakes every once and a while. this isnt the first time ive seen si wrong.

those wires arnt gray they are white. unless i looked at the wrong ones. but ya tell ur dealership i say they should stop being crocked or smarten up and get the right schematics for ur car. knowing them they probably are using the ss/sc ones, go find out what the wire is for those guys. if they have one there. Why do some dealership think and act like they are Gm itself. loosers.

Tell them gm screwed up, because every lnf since day one has white wires on that connector. I can't believe they actually used that as an excuse without checking other cars to be certain.
Next thing you know they'll say the blue vacuum hose isn't factory original...

lmao jerk. My BOV has a nice blue vacuum hose, but that BOV doesnt break my High pressure fuel pump at 20k miles *rolls eyes*. $450 pump plus 2.5 hours of labor at $90 an hour. Thats alot of money for a part that the dealer claimed I tampered with when I didnt.

I think it would be best if you showed em the ones on the lot they have there because they're probably just going to claim all those pics are from people who modded it.

Sounds like the dealer might not want to work on the car and is using that as an excuse or they're just trying to get more money from you. If I were in your shoes I'd look for another GM dealership in the area (even if that means non-Chevy). One thing to keep in mind is that dealers aren't owned directly by GM and the dealership can decide whether they want to do warranty work or not. GM has to honor and reimburse them for it, but in most states the dealer doesn't have to work on your car if they don't want to (kind of like those no shirt, no shoes, no service signs).

With that said, GM should have ways to persuade the dealer to work on your car, but if they don't want or can't diagnose it now, do you really want them wrenching on it? If you have another dealer it may just be easier to go that route.

Well this is a loss, story goers that the dealer wouldnt diagnose my car. The problem was that my high pressure fuel pump went out at 20k miles. I told the guy it was probobly my fuel pump, they claimed i was too modded to touch my car. i bought a stock intake and put it on, they still claimed aftermarket wiring harnesses and ****. I also had a wire in my engine tapped into a sensor wire for a narrowband that i had disconnected and they said i have "extensive electrical modifications" and reported it to GM which is now under my VIN number through GM.

I called my dealer told them I have pictures of the harness they claim is aftermarket they said they cant do anythign anymore sicne my car is listed as modified in the system through GM and I have to contact GM directly, so I did. Talked to a guy that was very nice, explained my problem, he called Jeff Gordan Chevy to verify, and asked me where I had my High pressure fuel pump installed and I said a local shop 2 miles away from the dealer, and then he said he cant compensate me for the pump since it wasnt installed at the dealer. I said i dont want him to compensate me for the labor, just for the $450 pump that broke prematurely that the dealer refused to look at for 2 1/2 weeks and swore to me wasnt the problem and said it was the harness.

Just a bunch of bullshit, and i dont want to use this dealer anymore and I spent $1,000 on an extended warrenty through the dealership and not through GM and im gonna try to see if I can get that back. Otherwise if i bring it to a different dealer for a problem at 40k miles, they show that my extended warrenty ended at 36k miles even though I payed 1,000 for 60k mile extended warrenty through jeff gordan. This means jeff gordan has to get my business after 36k miles, which is BS since they absolutely suck.
