In need of a bolt

In need of a bolt

need a bolt that connects to the shift linkage at the trans its a 13mm bolt mine popped off just wondering if anyone can help me out with finding a new bolt that will fit in that place.. it basically holds the bracket to the trans so it doesnt move.. theres only 2 bolts that go to it .. thanks or if any one has a part number for that part or graph that could help thanks

Take off the other bolt thats still in there and bring to the dealership. Hell, you may be able to find one at a hardware store.

Just take one to a decent Home Depot or Lowes, or a big Pep Boys. They should all have the right size.

It looks like it is an M8 x 40 mm bolt.

Holy crap! This is funny. The same thing happened to me. Been driving around with a sloppy shifter for a month. Mine was worse though, one bolt actually broke off so there was no putting a new one in, and the second was backing out. I took it to the dealer and just had them do it. They had to drill out the bolt and retap the hole. Good luck!

If you want it to look original, GM dealer will be able to get you a replacement. If you want it to look hacked, use a hardware store bolt that WILL rust.

Yea, since every bolt that isn't bought from the dealer will rust and looked "hacked"
