You definately need a new BPV diaphram. You have a boost leak there for sure with or without the block off plate in because the diaphram is supposed to seal it in either case. P0101 normally means a big external (not the BPV) boost leak. Cracked IC or CP is the most likely culprit.

Bah. That sucks. I was thinking about moving to an external recirculating BPV so I wouldn't have to worry about the diaphragm. I thought the block off took care of it. If that's the case, there's no point, and I might as well stick with the stocker.

Guess it's time to order a spare for when (not if) it rips.

Yep if you forget to put the stock diaphram back in when you do the Hahn or any other block off plate for this car you will have a massive boost leak. A few have found this out the hard way.

Not sure but I remember it comes only with the cover kit for the BPV that comes with the tan cover, the diaphram and the spring. IIRC it is approx $68 and last I heard it was on national back order like all the parts for this car. Stupid GM.

Before you go spending money make sure that the waste gate actuator rod nuts are not loose. I've seen this on many vehicles. Gm has released new locking clips for the nuts. There is also passenger side radiator support bolt that may rub a hole threw the exit hose out of the IC.

Checke the nuts! No reason getting frustraded when there could be a simple solution!

You have to check the waste gate solenoid rod from under the car.

Make sure the two nuts at the end of the adjusting rod arnt loose.

If thats not the case, check your ic piping for contact with the radiator support bolt.
