That is a damn clean powerband.... and having close to the same hp and torque proves you have ALOT of work into your tune my man!

Thanks man. Seven or eight hours of dyno tuning really paid off. Helps that all my boltons flow really well too. I still have the stock intercooler on there too.

He has gained: +96 HP, +94 ft-lbs; that is the important part
Took the words right out of my mouth.

Thanks for the compliment. I like being able to rev it out to nearly 7K without feeling like it stops pulling.

I am hoping once I get my intercooler I will be over 345 whp. I think my stocker may be holding me back a little bit.

WOW! I want a tune this good when I go for it. I like the power under the curve, and the fact the power doesn't fall off the chart after 6k.

Just gotta get myself an intercooler, then I am ready for my tune!

Took 7 hours of dynotuning to get to where it is now, and that does not come cheap. $750 total but well worth it IMHO. When I get my intercooler I will pull to 7200-7400 next time to see what it has above 7K.

Term.... I did some new pulls today.... got 15* of timing up to 6k without any knock at all! Pulls hard and great, lost a little MAF pressure due to the shitty weather we are having today but it's all good!

Sounds good man, but trust me once you get that thing to breathe better, (DP, intake catback, chargepiping etc) and it gets hotter out you will most likely have to pull a couple degrees out. I still have my stock intercooler though and it does start to heatsoak after a couple pulls. Maybe once I get my new intercooler I will be able to add a couple degrees back in. I am going to pull it to 7200-7400 rpms next time to see how well it will hold the HP above 7000 rpms

Actually if you look at my graph you will se that my torque does not spike really hard to 350-360 ftlbs like some others It holds much better than any other torque curve I have seen yet. That is why it makes so much power up top, I am still at 300 wrtq at 6K most others are at about 250-260 at that rpm . The power delivery is suprisingly tractable if you drive it right. I am getting better at driving it now. I am waiting on new intercooler before I hit the track I get heatsoak like crazy now that it is hot out.

IAT1= 80-90* IAT2s can be as high as 140-150.* Big temp rise. I had to pull 3* of timing because I was getting knock up high. Probably could add another 5-10 whp with a better intercooler.

that's nuts, but you were pulling those numbers off the dyno right? I guess I could see why that is. Maybe you could make a shield or something to deflect the bay heat from your intake to help out a little

Looking at your graph again I can see that you don't pick up a lot of your torque until you actually get going so that seems it would help out quite a bit with tire spin.

Hood was open during all the pulls. It is not the intake I see 6-8* over the outside temp with the SRI on there. Once the air gets compressed it really heats up it was almost 220* coming out of the turbo at on point. The factory IC got it down to 150* but that is still to hot IMHO. I want to be closer to ambient temps.

Well then it looks like a better IC would be the next logical mod. That is crazy you are running those high of temp numbers. Mine are no where near that high. not even if I'm sitting at a light. Those extra ponies must really heat things up a ton

All that extra boost raises the temps quite a bit. Stock it was not like this at all.

So do you think that with just running a tune alone and intake would be pulling the same amount of heat?

Not quite as much. I am moving a lot more air since I got my DP, catback and chargpiping. It really seems to be taxing the intercooler more than when I had just a tune. Does not help it is getting hotter every day as well. I am seeing IAT2s 20* higher than with just the tune and the hood was open and the outside air temp was 78-80* on both days I was on the dyno. I think I will be hitting crazysteve up for an intercooler soon.

Nice numbers indeed. Im impressed with the numbers these cars are making with the factory turbo. Do you have plans to upgrade the turbo?

Yes once we have an option for bigger injectors and tuning for them.

Wait I am assuming you are on the stock turbo? I dont see anything about an after market turbo in your sig. Whats the life expectation for your turbo given this new tune and MAF setting?

I will be doing my own custom intercooler, a nice 600+ hp bar and plate core, and having my exhaust shop buddy weld up new rear exit ends!

I should be able to get it all done for about $180-190.00 I'll let you all know how it works out!

I am going to order carzysteve's soon. For $250 it is hard to beat. He said he had a 800 hp car that came to his shop with the same core. That is good enough for me.
