gotcha, figured it had something to do with an 02 bung, but it's mounted a little different.

Mounted different to prevent CEL

SUKXOST has had this for over a month, and never one CEL.

Yup, we will all have to wait until later today for the catted version of this (very similar to this, with a cat)

A catted version will still be illegal for those who think otherwise

Technically, you are correct. Federal law says you can't move the position of the cat(s) and if you replace the cat(s), it must be the same as OEM. That said, all but the strictest states (like California) will let you slide as long as you have a functioning cat. Fortunately, I live in a state where there are no inspections.

Correct, 2 cats on a stock SS/TC (I modified my post for you). I was speaking in general terms, not specifically about the Cobalt. My GTO originally had 2 cats also, but now I have none. But, I will be daily driving the Cobalt unlike the GTO and I work in the environmental field, so I need to compromise a little between performance and the environment.

yea, I think GM has better V8s when it comes to emissions (and power and weight and reliability...but that's a story for another time)

"Tentatively" is the key word there, also Hahn has spent months testing this, even the cat less down pipe wont throw a CEL, now that took a lot of testing...

OBD2 scan for IL, they never open the hood, or get under car, i imagine as long as you dont stink like unburned fuel, and dont have a cel, your perfectly legal in IL
