Replace the rear pads with Hawk HPS pads before the stock ones destroy your rotors. The rear pads for an '08 Solstice fit. The OEM pads are very abrasive and cause extreme grooving of the rear rotors. Read up on the rear brake threads.

What charge piping fix are you refering to? Ive had my car a year and had no problem with the charge piping.

I've had my SS/TC for 1 year now and havent had any problems except the car not holding antifreeze. Took it to the Stealership and they replaced a hose that had a hole in it, all under Warranty. And I havent had a single problem since, not with brakes or charge piping.

10,000 miles and no problems with the charge piping. I did get extreme grooving on the rear discs, resurfaced under warranty. I don't think the problem is with the pads, check out the rear brakes wearing thread. There is a bad caliper design where a metal part contacts the disc.

when u tune. the CP can get weak from the excess boost.

just change it when u can.

DP is restrictive too.

if ur going to tune and still want the warranty. buy a second ECu

My theory is that the charge piping is really restrictive, which may be why a lot of people have trouble with it popping off, the charged air rips the piping off because of it's design restrictions. It looks bad and it's made out of plastic, plus different parts seem to be wider or narrower, they should be uniform and mandrel bent... But you will be completely fine stock as a daily driver. You don't need to get charge piping unless you want to mod your car for fun and have your engine bay look cool.

You're good to go from the factory, just change your oil when the GMOLMS says to and rotate your tires every 6k miles.

CP is illegal

but yeah. swap out that charge pipe asap.

my buddy had less than 1k miles on his car and what do you know POP.

and if you do get a charge pipe make sure you opt for the T-bolt clamps.

i was at a dyno day where a guy in his 3 week old TC had his aftermarket charge pipe blow off twice leaving nice reverse dents in his hood.

stock interior scratches way too easily so be careful. def rotate your tires every 6k or so miles... i did mine at 10k and noticed a little bit of neg camber wear upfront.. no big deal but ill need new tires at 20k miles.

also if you change the air filter to k&n make sure you release the air recirculation valve or it will snap off. this happens to tons of people. you dont want a broken nipple. that intake arm thingy costs 75 bucks from gmpartsdirect.
