I too have the re760's in a 235 on my turbo. I've had them a month so far and I seem to like them. More comfortable than stock, but the handling is the about the same. Grip is probably slightly better. I've had to push the car pretty hard before it slides. They are definitely cheaper than a lot of other options also.
I have 225 star specs on my stock rims. I was told that they tend to run wider and was told I should not get 235 star specs for our stock rims by multiple people. Just a heads up if you go that wide!
Im on 28k with my stock conti's.... I swap on Goodyear Ultragrip snow tires every winter, but still, my stock cont's have at least 20k on them. I still have some good tread left but this will definitely be their last season.
Im thinking about possibly doing the Nitto's but Im not sure yet because I also want to find some 17s for the front that I can mount some drag radials on and then just maybe get something a little less crazy for day to day driving.

I have the re 760 sport and I just have to say don't waste your money on anything else I've used kuhmos excta xs and the grip on the 760is just as good although I did movw up to a 235. Anyway get 760s tjey wont disappoint I know this out off a lot of autox events
Four of the 225/40R18 Hankook Ventus V12s costed me $590 shipped, then I spend $83 on mount an balance. That's about $773 for a set of tires that have been great, so far. They are a little skinnier than the stock tires, though, and don't provide the same rim protection. I think I'll go with the 235/40R18 on the next run.
I'm gonna say Kumho, they are being alittle overlooked... these tires for the money are some of the best I've come across... I had a set of SPT's ASX and AST's on a Trans Am and they were really amazing... buddy of mine had a set of ASX's on his heavily modified WRX, and we were pulling .96's with no issues coming onto highway off/on ramps... they are very quiet overall compared to the conti's I can tell you that and treadlife isnt all that bad, depending on how hard you run your car.
Kumho.... definately....bang for your buck

From Tire Rack the Bridgestone Potenza SO-4 Pole Positions were $840 shipped to my door but I will receive two gift cards: One from Bridgestone for $100 and one from Tire Rack for $70. So I got these great sticky Potenzas for $670.
not sure where you heard that but they are flat out wrong. Have had my 235 star specs on for 15k miles so far and even lowered on megan racing springs. no problems
I got 20k off the stock tires, and should get another 20k off my General Exclaim UHPs (despite the treadwear rating being double that of the stock tire). I got a decent deal on the UHPs for around 500 installed, but 800 is a bargain for a tire that is warrantied to last more than twice as long.
I don't know how you guys are getting 20K miles out of the Contis. I am on my fourth set of tires at 22K (3 rd set of tires were snows, still have 50% left). Factory Contis lasted just under 9K.
Now my NT01, they're a different story...
I installed a set of the Conti Extreme Contact DW tires this spring. They have been great so far. They are quite, smooth, very grippy, and great in the rain. If it gets cool out, they still have grip to them, where the OEM Conti tire was like a driving on ice.
I'm currently running 235/40 General Exclaim UHP's on my stock wheels. For how inexpensive they were (140/tire) they are way sticky. I've held a few .95g turns with barely any squeal.. A lot of tires will just completely let go at a certain force, but these will fight for grip through an entire turn. Once they're warm they hold the road at 20psi on e85 WOT in 2nd gear.
Cons: They tramline and have a little bit of sidewall flex which can be slightly unnerving. They have some serious tread though. I think they might have been discontinued though.. At least as 18's
