new turbo ideas

Yea I have to get a new turbo so I have been contemplating on what I should go for...

I saw something about the batmowheel but don't fully understand if its just an add or on actual piece

I want something where I can keep all of my bolt ons as well as the stock exhaust manifold

Not looking to spend a lot but since I might be selling the car next year, am I better off sticking with a replacement K04?

batmowheel is a service/wheel upgrade. you send in your turbo and they add some extra fins to your wheel and do some other minor stuff. no results on it yet but it has high hopes. batmowheels on other platforms like the srt4 crew have amazing results. the price is like 400 said and done. pretty awesome deal even if it yields minimal gains like 5-10 hp. ppl will spend more than that on a catback to gain 3hp haha.

then there is the K04+ upgrades.

Dejon Powerhouse has some upgrades that reuse the stock mani...might want to look into that.

Then last is the infamous ZZP EFR kit, im sure you have heard

you live under a rock? lol they are making a kit that adapts the Borg Warner EFR to the stock manifold. They have everything done but the EFR turbo is on backorder for like decades

Exactly lmao. That's what I'm saying. I got the BNR for 1000 and its nearly bolt on. Need a bov I think. But u can use the stock mani and don't need a wastegate.

if you are gonna sell the car you might as well use the regular K04 instead of investing money in a turbo uprade since you typically dont make your money back on mods unless you part the car out. just my .02

Werd...buy a cheapy used K04 and go from there. I have one you can buy, but it's the Mitsu version. I was going to use it as a core for BNR, but I have decided to wait until the EFR comes out.

p.s. Don't poke fun at my desklamp. I'm sensitive about it.

I don't think anything has to be done to it. You can etnies for sure, though. He just put one in his. I wanna say they came on some of the Cobalts, but I'm not sure. When I bought it, I bought it off this site, but it was before I realized there were two different type. It does have the crack on the manifold splitter, like most or all of them do, but I wasn't worried about it.
