oil pressure sender in ldk block

I know this has been talked about before, but I'm doing it again. I need to install oil pressure sender in ldk for my interceptor. problem is, there are only 2 ports, the one for the factory switch, and the oil feed for the turbo. I don't want it in the head because it wont get correct reading and there have been some people that have had theirs break off due to vibrations of the engine. so, the safest way I think I can do it is to use plug an an line into the port for the factory sender, and relocate the aftermarket and factory sender to a small oil block. question is, is it ok to relocate the factory sender? will it trip? it will be relocated only like 6 inch away so not far, but it also isn't directly in the block.

I used a tee adapter and a 12" braided oil pressure line adapter, then I used a strap to attach the oil pressure sender to the upper transmission bolt about 6" away. This way I can use both oil pressure gauge and factory oil light/shutoff. Very clean and no problems with the factory switch. I was just amazed how high the oil pressure is in an ecotec. Use Teflon tape and dont over tighten the adapter.

Holder is like this, I'm not sure of diameter though, and you may need to bore the hole out a bit

The pressure sensor right under the oil filter boss on the block. Screw the adaptor there, then the factory pressure sensor screws into the end of the adaptor, and the 12" line screws into the side of the adaptor and then remotely mounts the oil pressure sensor for a gauge. Not sure what the aeroforce calls for, but I would think the same kind of sensor a gauge uses. You have to remotely mount it, cause most oil pressure sensors are pretty big, and there just isn't room in there.

Ah! Thank you for the visual Tom and cw for the explanation. I was wondering this myself, makes a lot of sense now that I actually see it. Need to do the same myself at some point. Wish I'd of done so prior to installing the motor.

What kind of pressures are you seeing with yours?

I'm seeing much higher pressures when using (what I think is) the LNF stock location compared to when I used to use the LSJ stock location (in a spacer between the oil cooler and the block). I'm hoping it's just a locational difference.

This is just a blip of the throttle from idle. Idling at 25 psi and the throttle blip sends it up to 70 psi. In the stock location I was seeing 80psi at full boost, so I'm just a little bit uneasy about it.

I don't have car done yet. But I never saw pressure that high with rear location on stock block. Saw when car was warm 60psi max at wot. But then again its 2 different engines.

If you're pulling from the rear oil galley's, your numbers will be totally different anyway. This is an LNF block, so the numbers really shouldn't be all that different if we were measuring from the same location.

I have a gen 3 2.4 block that I'm using for my LSJ T.
These blocks don't have any oil galley plugs to tap into for an oil feed on my turbo.
Would T'ing into the oil pressure sender location be a good place for an oil feed for my gt3076R?

That's a long distance for oil to go, I hear people do it from head . but I don't see why that shouldn't work. On the plus side, the long an hose will act as an oil cooler before oil gets to turbo
