ok.. need help picking one..

alright so for christmas, my GF is getting my an intercooler. I was gonna go with the Treadstone TR8, but heard about ZZPs black friday sale and that many parts will be half off.. so what im asking is.. which one? based on quality, difficulty of installation, and performance gains.

I know there are other threads on intercoolers, and yes, i also know theres a search button

ZZP released an updated version with higher ground clearance recently.

I got the treadstone in a group buy early this year, so far I have had no issues at all.

The chances of you getting the ZZP deal are pretty slim plus the higher clearance ones are not available for a while. Go for the Treadstone.

I have had both (currently Treadstone TR8). I had the ZZP one for about 9 months and never had any problems with it. Great Quality, easy install, awesome gains. Only downfall was that it did hang lower than I would have liked. As stated above, the chance of you getting that ZZP intercooler at a half off price are slim. For example...i had 3 ppl constantly refreshing the website and facebook as fast as they could and i only got mine at 40% off haha. The Treadstone is top notch quality, as easy as an install as you can get, and it doesn't hang low. Sits perfect in the center of your grill opening.

ZZP. Just sack up and watch how you drive. I was slammed on coils and scraped the IC one time.

It isnt even that bad. It hangs about as low as the front lip. I always scraped the lip, but thats a different story

The zzp is larger, has a much better mounting config, doesn't require elbows that add another leak point and isn't covered by any part of the crash beam. I don't like that you can see the endtanks through grill hole on the tr8, either.

But the treadstone logo is on the endtanks and can be seen through the grill hole!

Mpx inlet and outlet pipes are too small. Stay away from that one. Hahn is too expensive.
