which one would you buy.....?

Now i may be opening a can of worms with this one, but i wanted to know what everyone thinks. Now there are two SERIOUS upgrade turbo's for the lnf.

First up that more people are aware of is ZZP's ZFR

Link: ZZPerformance - ZFR Turbo #ZZ-ZFR

And then there is Pwerks or performance auto werks's turbo the WR-2.

Link: The Home of WERKSracing products!

Now both companies offer both turbo's as a bolt on for the lnf and come with all parts needed to installed without modification to your current set up, if your on the stock turbo. Price wise both turbo around the same price. and they both offer around the same horsepower level, depending on your tune of course. Which would you choose and why? I really cant decide which i would want as an upgrade for this upcoming spring when i plan on doing a turbo swap. I'm leaning towards the WR-2 do to the more stock look and size of it.......

so this begs the question, which one would you choose and why?

the only thing stock about the WR-2 is the housings. they have been opened up the housings to fit the precision dual ball bearing center section.

Well then the ZFR is technically cheaper if you sell your used K04 that comes off. There, question answered. ZFR makes the "same power" (per you) and costs less once you make a few hundred off your good/working stock K04.

i was thinking that myself but i could always pick up blown ko4's off here for cheap to send in and keep my stocker around incase i decide to part out one day. IDK, i've seen both turbo's in person and the ZFR is a hugh turbo and gives away the "sleeper" stock look of it. The WR-2 has the same size but more punch.......idk......i cant ever decide....

Most K04's on here will have the cracked dual-scroll manifold, so I wonder if they would even accept that. Also, it's not about peak numbers, it's about he area under the curve. My guess is that the EFR has a much larger area.

if your talking about the middle section inside the hotside, i pretty sure thats normal of most twin scroll turbos. I have asked them about core return and as long as the exhaust and intake housings are completely shot from shaft play and someone running too long like that, they will take them. I'd really like to see a compressor map for the wr-2 but have yet to see one......
