so i measured the meth check valve fitting and found it to be 3/8" so i ordered a female weld in bung that was 3/8" npt but when it came it measured to be 5/8" so i e-mailed the company and they said npt sizes are different and you cant just measure the thread diameter on the fitting... arghhhh so im trying to decide if i should return this one and pay shipping for a 1/4" one or just try to find one locally. where do you guys think i could find an ALUMINUM bung or even a nut that is 1/4" npt? i found a hardware store that sells couplers but you could have to saw off half for it to work. what could i use to saw an aluminum coupler in half? haha sry for the ramble thanks for any help

 

5/8 I though was O2 bungs. I would check an exhuast place. The guy I was talking to had different sizes.

well i ordered a 3/8" npt bung because thats what the diameter of the fitting measured out to but 3/8" npt is more like 5/8" in measurement. i know i need 1/4" now because i looked on the alcohol injection systems website. so exhaust place eh? ill give some a call

edit: an exhaust shop wouldnt have aluminum tho would they?

 

where are you putting the meth y do you need a bung just tap what ever you are putting it in
