Overheating smell

Good evening. I recently bought another LNF after I wrecked my other one. This one is pretty cool, but I get this quick whiff of a overheating smell if I try to drive it hard. My coolant temp jumps up to about 211 - 214F. When I let off and cruise it drops to about 199. I don't see any leaks. My other Balt would only get that hot in the summer (I live in New Mexico). Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah. I think that smell is coming from the straight pipe. It's not overheating.
