Question P0300, P0301, & P0303 - yeah, I searched. :<}

Welp, it's my turn, I suppose !

Did a 2 - 3 NLS shift at lunch today - no CEL, but I felt the car stumble then catch itself. I always get the car to 180 plus before I fart around w/ the NLS, BTW.

No biggie - ran fine on the way back to work.

On the way home, I let the car warm up, and got a chance to 2 -3 NLS again.

Well !

This time, I got the flashing CEL ( misfire ) and then it turned solid. Car runs OK , but feels down on power. It will still hit 20 ish on the boost gauge - I'm stock except for the GMS1.

Drove the rest of the way home, and pulled the codes - P0300 , P0301 , & P0303.

My question is :

Take it to the dealer, or clear the codes & give her another whirl ?

From what I read during the search , the NLS can freak out the misfire dectection algorythms and cause this - if I understood the posts correctly.

I am not worried about the dealer/warranty, but since I have the ability to clear the codes myself - any reason not to ?

It would save me from burning my Friday off at the dealer - yeah, there's free coffee & Vettes/Camaros to look at, but it's a real crap shoot if the hot cashier is working or not.

Any thoughts & opinions are appreciated !

Thanks !

Britt

I put in my stage 2 on my ss/sc and got a check engine light with p0300 (random misfire) or something like that. I then erased the code and unplugged the negative cable to the battery for about an hour. Then it ran AWESOME. never nls though.

Reset the VCM and try again I used to have that issue on stock tune when I first bought the car.

The car is designed to NLS, why not do it? It even comes with a nifty little button to press to get said NLS to work properly...

REALLY?!!! I didn't know that! Learn something everyday I guess....... but, what I said should get rid of the code and the crappy drive though shouldn't be any different from the SC.

No no, there's a button. You gotta press and hold it thru the shift to activate the capability.

Now that I've had my fun posts for the evening, I'm leaving lol

Exclamation 04/30 Update

I went ahead and took it in this morning - they mentioned something about an evaporative emmissions sensor by the tank that was bad, and had to be brought in. They made it sound like it would be ready today, but it is now a quarter after 6 and I have not heard a peep, so I am guessing tomorrow best case.

I am not quite ready to file this yet under dealer BS stories to get warranty $'s as I did get a "check gas cap " message about 2 weeks ago - the gas cap was fine.

However, how the hell they got to the ass end of the car from the 3 codes I had is beyond me.

More as I know it.

Exclamation So, the answer was ...

(Fron the ticket ) :

Cause : 9090

1 ea. 20893611 F-Cover

10145 909 J7821 Test SES Code P0455 No Leaks Detected in System. Install Cover Test Per Bull # 10-06-04-001 To Adress Code.

No idea where the code 0455 came from - I did not see thta when I scanned 'em.

I also have been unable to find any info on this bulletin here, so ???????????

On the plus side, the good looking cashier was there today , and they gave it a bath for me - that was on my to do list anyways.

So, I guess all is well - other than my still being confused. Anyone got any info I would appreciate it - thanks !
