possible problem

My car has 8,000 miles on it, I change the oil regularly...but starting my car up is getting worse and worse, I thought it had something to do with the cold weather, but the last few days, it's been beautiful out, and still doing the same thing...
Sometimes the engine will turn and turn and take a few seconds to start, and when it does start, i get a really weird breathy bog for a second..
Other times, It will start right away, but bog at a super low rpm for a second
and other times, it starts up perfect like it used too..

Im not tuned, and don't know what this could be.

could a low battery be a possibility...the other day I started my car, and my radio didnt turn on, also my gauges were dropping on and off...i disconnected the battery for a min, then everything came back to normal.

1) put brick on gas pedal
2) drive car in drink
3) collect insurance money
4) buy new car

It could be that your high pressure fuel pump needs to prime. Try this... When you first get in the car turn it to accessory only. Buckle up to give the pump a chance to prime then go ahead and start the car. If the issue is priming the pump then this should take care of the problem. The reason I know is because I have the same issue with mine - always have, always will... not a big deal though. The car runs fine... if this is your problem then yours is fine too. A bit annoying at times when you forget (car will turn for a while and when it catches it will be a bit bogged...that is just the fuel trying to get through your pump), but fine... If you are still worried then have the dealer focus in on that first to save a little time... I hope it works out for you..
