Need help, radiator fluid is coming out of my exhaust not a lot but enough to notice. Was wondering what it could be, I'm thinking it's either a blown head gasket or A blown gasket on the turbo I would appreciate any input

 

You're SURE it's coolant? it could just be water or unburnt fuel.

 

Na it's not water or unburned fuel, it's a bright orange fluid and that could only be one thing radiator fluid

 

if your sure its coolant and not water then i would say that you have a bad/blown seal in your turbo......but to my guess is that it would smoke alot too.....if it isn't the turbo then it could be your headgasket but you would know that cuz the car most likely wouldn't run very good.

 

do a compression / leak down test to eliminate the head ( if you have access to a block tester that would be easier) then i would assume its your seal in the turbo

If it's antifreeze the exhaust should smell sweet.

 

Check the oil for water contamination(milky colored) The car should be smoking if either seal is leaking. Are on stock exhaust? Do you just see water for the first couple minutes after the car is turned on or does it not stop?

 

I believe if the head gasket was leaking then you would have white smoke, Since your saying it still looks orange then I would guess the turbo seals are blown, since if it was a hg then it would be super heated in the combustion chamber and be a steam.

 

Oil is good, I got side mount exhaust and the only seen twice a little puff of smoke and if the turbo has a bad gasket shouldn't I feel it in performance wise because before I knew I was leaking fluid through my exhaust I was at the track and my car was running on point I mean l live here in Texas were like the heat will melt your face and I ran a 13.4

 

You can pick up a used K04 on here for around $250, usually, if you're not under warranty. I have an extra sitting in my garage in case this happens to me.

 

Hell yea brohammer, you're just extracting mad power. The more you see coming out, the faster you're going to be!

 

If it was the turbo it would either leak into the compressor side, get ingested by the motor and make white smoke(not heavy) and if it was leaking into the turbine side it would get burned off by the hot exhaust gases which would again make white smoke.

Is your exhaust aluminized steel? Maybe the condensation that builds up when the car is off is rusting the inside of the piping thus making the water look orange?

 

I wish it was rush it would be a lot easyer fix but I just brough the exhaust 3 weeks ago so it can't be that. And I've only seen like 2 small puffs of smoke when I start it up.

 

This sounds like a possibility, considering the short length of a side exist exhaust.

 

Dont forget to check your blinker fluid when you check your radiator fluid.

I would think that if there's enough coolant to be dripping out of your exhaust then you'd notice that in your reservoir. Have you collected some and made sure that it's coolant? When do you notice the leak? If it's condensation, intuition tells me that it would drip until the exhaust warms up sufficiently and then water wouldn't condense on the exhaust...

 

I did notice in my reservoir had to refill 3 times in the last 5 days and it's not like it's pouring out my exhaust but you can see the residue of the coolant and plus I can smell it

If you're seeing the coolant out the tail pipe of the exhaust, then it's making it's way through there unscaved... This is very odd and unusual.

I would say that its coming through the turbo seal in such large amounts that a small portion of it is making it's way all the way back. If you're filling your resevoir that much, this si very plausible.
