Request for a Valet Mode.

I was wondering if there's anyway we can limit our cars to a "valet" mode. Giving us around 40whp like in this video?

I remember when I took my car to the shop to have some exhaust work done on it, I flashed a tune that has 3000 as the rev limiter, set the speed limiter to 15mph, zero'd the boost out, and lowered the timing....The look on the guy's face when I picked it up was amazing lol

Well I had a experience where Big O Tire was 'testing' the brake job on my car. Long story short, they screwed up and drove it to test for the "scraping" noise I was complaining about. My job was walking distance from their facility and I was on break and I see the dude flooring it on to the other street.

Situations like that I don't like.

I don't like giving someone I don't trust or completely know the opportunity to drive my car hard.

I have a valet tune from trifecta. Wastegate dumps all boost and it only goes to 3k. Its awesome. Had to do it after i noticed my GS Integra have 5 miles added to it from a shop that was just tinting my windows... cobalt was going in next day and no way were they gonna abuse that.

Disconnect charge pipe from intercooler or other spot. Viola, free valet mode.

I have one. James made me a super low boost tune and I believe it's limited to RPM and **** as well. I've only used it once though.

PS, I loved valet mode on my GTI when I had it. Very convinent

I meant an actual "valet" mode, not just a actual tune to preload. You know like a push of a button or something.

That would be awesome.

Like this but less complicated... or just as if it seems logical.

It would probably have to be with Trifecta or something. I don't think you're able to do that with Hptuners.

And actually its much easier than that. They're just showing you step by step and the lock out feature. Realistically all you do is have the car in the on position. hold the button and it flashes to let you know which program you want. You let go and turn on the car. the end lol.

HPTuners with a trifecta switchable layer would work. Just make the original tune the 3k limiter and have your alternate tune programmed into the competition mode.

Then drop one of these little guys in for your comp switch

I like this idea a lot. Maybe ZZP could include this with the tune they are working on? (Assuming it's possible with hpt)

Valet mode would be awesome.. I had a conference at MGM Grand in Detroit that I drove to. There was no parking, you had to have it valeted.
The dude who brought my car back to me was like "Man I love your car. It's fast". On one hand it's cool that people admire it, but on the other, it's like woah.. Don't beat on my car bro
