can you hear the turbo spool a little with a 3" catless dp and muffler delete?

 

Me too..... My SS/SC was too loud with a XTC catted downpipe and GM touring exhaust lol...... I ended up putting the stock muffler on the GM touring and it sounded great . I can't imagine what 3'' straight exhaust must sound like .

 

I can...especially when there's a car next to me lol...and I still have the Hahn resonator with a short Blox muffler...for what it's worth...btw, the first time I heard the turbo spool was when I went catless DP...it's very subtle and stealthy sounding...

 

i have turbo back with just a cat, its loud haha, i love it tho

 

if i get a catless downpipe will my check engine light turn on???

 

yup it's very pronounced without any muffler, just the resi and catless d/p!

Definitely gotta hit up a shop and get my resonator welded on and muffler cut off. I'm gonna feel bad for hacking up this exhaust so much.

But maybe thats the sound you want? I removed the cutout valve and sealed it off. Keep in mind this is a cutout right below the turbo, so adding more pipe behind that is going to add to the echo-y rasp sound.

I removed my hahn muffler today. Still have the resonator though and it sounds awesome.

 

I just cut my muffler off today

I have no cats, no res, and obvioulsy no muffler

It sounds like ass, I'm not a big fan its way to loud for me and too raspy above 4k

Putting some sort of a muffler on Monday

Hey guys, gonna bump this thread for answers. My exhaust is still all stock ss/sc, a friend of mine is possibly trading me for his gmpp touring with deleted resonator. Does anyone have this setup and can chime in on what kind of noise difference a deleted res will do on this cat-back? im just getting a little paranoid I won't like the new sound and want to change back
