return of steering clunk?

Man, I just got a new steering column and intermediate shaft under warranty last year and I just started to notice some new mild play in wheel as I turn. Could this mean another steering column? Did gm address this already? Could this be related to that recent recall of steering system failing at low speeds?? Which I never received a mailer for....

Gm's steering shafts are garbage. There is a good chance that you will need a new one. It is not just your cobalt, it's all gm's vehicles. I prolly average replacing two a week. I would check your upper strut plates as well, those will cause similar symptoms as a bad steering shaft.
