I see a possible conflict here though. What happens if somebody accidentally leaves the amber light on and switches to competitive mode?.. which one takes priority? Sounds like a programming thing that needs to be tackled.
I agree, too many factors.

We'll probably just have people tell us on the order form. think of it as multiple choice:

To enable performance tune:

A. Cruise control ON
B. Cruise control OFF
C. "Normal" traction control mode
D. Competitive mode
E. ESC off
F. All the friggin time (LOL)

I sure like the multiple options though. Two's great and three is just downright awesome. It makes it great at everything that way... something that normally doesn't happen.

In theory, yes, but boost is not under control of the ECM in the LS, so the best we could do is maybe have more aggressive timing tables if you're running water/meth injection, etc.

There's another project we're going to start this weekend with a customer that has a 2.2 car and wants to run NOS - we're going to see if we can get his ECM to switch timing tables on the fly based on an unused ECM input so he can run max power off the bottle and on the bottle.

I think I would want a tune where I can use traction control or competitive mode with it when ever I want without reflashing it, also would want to be able to go back to stock as well. If there was a way to cycle between stock, trifecta, beast mode while being able to select traction control on/off and competitive mode on/off, and utilizing cruise control with stock mode and trifecta mode. That would be the biggest win!

I think if you guys can do that ^ I would gladly be a happy customer.

also would be awesome if the stage 1/2 LNF cobalt kit would come out and work with this as well. lol.

Well, he offers that already, so I don't see any reason you couldn't have that.

Man, I was thinking it was/hoping for a three-mode...

Without a doubt cruise control.

If I am tracking my car i turn all nannies OFF. Cruise control button would allow you to use it whenever.

This is great to hear mane! I knew you was going to tell people soon the possibilities. I will be buying an update whenever you get it all situated.

Question vince did you ever discover if you can play with the launch control? I would love to set it for right at 3k instead of 5k...how about doing it like stage 3 with the ss/sc where you can decide where you want to launch at before you crank the car.

Still working on the LC stuff - doing what the SS/SC S3 tune does will require a bit more R&D but I know people would love that feature.

Yes it would be an amazing feature. If ya can't do that then just setting it about 3k would be amazing.

BTW this is michael.

I'm all over this! I'll be the first one in line for it.

I'd like

Standard mode- stock or a vince-econo
competative mode- Performance - 22psi
traction off - Beast mode (would rarely use, but nice to have)

This all sounds amazing I think I would want same as OZmod with traction control on for winter and stuff with stock tune. This just makes me glad I switched to the turbo ss from my sc. Glad I waited for a tune til I had all my upgrades.

so with the econo mode what kinda a gas mileage are we gonna see? in normal driving will the boost be at 15 psi like stock, then we can either press the cruise control and put it in econo, traction off would be trifecta tune 21.5 psi, and comp mode would have it in the beast mode. and the dealer wont see a aftermarket tune. this is god. i gotta invest in a clutch now. if we were to have this beast mode what stage clutch would be a good?

I am sold! Once these come available and all what you say is true, I am defiantly a purchasing customer.

Vince,

As a user of your current tune, I must say that you have done incredible work and I look forward to purchasing this upgrade once it becomes available.

I think the ideal situation with the tune selectability for me would be the following....

- On normal startup (traction on) the car is on a stock or similar tune.
- In comp mode, the car is on the 21.5 psi tune (the current one you provide)
- Holding down the TC button for 5 seconds to turn off the ESC activates the "Crazy" tune.

I think this setup would have the performance options that most would be seeking. Also, having to hold down the TC button for 5 seconds in order to turn the ESC off and activate the "Crazy" tune would give a little bit of stealth, secrecy and security from anybody else who may drive the car to accidentally (or intentionally) activate it.

Lastly, any idea when this tune will become available? I can't wait!
