Show me your side exhaust

I have thought about doing the side exhaust cut out before the back tire. I was wondering who has done it and what do you think? Post up some pics for me if you would. Also your comments on the side exhaust. Thanks A lot

Beacuse you dont want the moisture dripping from the exhaust and getting your tires wet, you will loose traction.......

whole purpouse of side exhaust is to heat up tires to get them sticky, typically on v8's with dual exhaust outlets i mean just sayin

I got it on my cobalt and I love the way it sounds especially with a BOV it just sounds like a beast, and with the water coming out of the exhaust I've had no issues what so ever of losing traction

HAHA That was good. Anyways what do you do with the exhaust cutout in the back jsut leave it open that would look kinda funny with no tip coming out.

Gotcha. I think it would look good if you could somehow get the exhaust to come out higher and have almost a cut out in the side skirt. Like the Cobra R or any newer style side exit exhaust. Probably cant due to clearance issues but a good thought

There are more reasons to do a side-exit that to "warm up the rear tires".

You eliminate a good deal of piping, as well as the Axle Hump by dumping in front of the rear wheel. Granted, this isn't for everyone, as it is probably pretty damn useless on a S/C'd or stock Turbo car... but on my larger turbo car, it eliminates a good deal of resistance/back pressure by taking out the extra piping.

Because the SRT-4 is the only car allowed to do a Side-Exit?

Right, for obvious reasons. I was able to drop almost 30 lbs between the stock muffler and piping to now, not to mention like USMC said, it provides for the lowest possible back pressure which a turbo needs.
