slipping clutch

Hey guys,

I have a full bolt on car that dyod 311hp and 378 tq. that was before i put on the zzp intercooler.

anyway, i am getting some clutch slippage. car only has 9k miles on it. i put it in 4th and went wot to see how bad it was and its slipping at 3500-4000 for a second then continues to gain rpm.

is my clutch completely shot? can i save it somehow? lol

if not i am looking at the exedy single or the zzp stage 4.

any input?

my clutch is doing the same thing and i make the same numbers as you well 311/370, the stock clutch is really only good to like 330-350 max, just get the ky clutch everyone who is gotten it so far loves it and i am ordering mine tomorrow since you have to do it over the phone

when i first started slipping it was only one my tune but now it does it on stock tune as well if its just a couple of rpms on your tune hopefully you have selectable and you can turn it off to save it for some time

when I get a clutch it'll be the KY clutch... people love it, it feels stock, and it holds... price is nice on it as well

plus it works on the factory flywheel, I am not a fan of aluminum flywheels

Nice...! For that price and Made in USA. Cause I was pushing 306whp and 364lbs TQ on a stock clutch. Probably order it and wait till the clutch tells me what I can do with myself. Just want a clutch to hold 450-500lbs TQ

If it makes the OP feel any better my car is bone stock and the clutch started slipping at 19K. Trying to decide whether to argue with the dealer and get them to replace it or just put something that will actually hold in and do it myself in case I ever want to tune the car.

Need some tires first. Heard Falkens came out with the Azenis ST-115's.

I don't need a clutch yet... I don't think. I feel like it's the wheels spining so I don't think it's the clutch.

So it looks like doing a WOT pull in fourth is how you can tell huh. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

My numbers are 310/377

If I end up needing a clutch, I'm going Clutchmasters or ZZP. From what I understand is that ZZP (and KY) is good if you're gonna keep adding power. If you're gonna stay around 310-330 than clutchmasters, spec, etc are fine.

I don't know what else I can do (performance) besides meth injection, E85 or bigger turbo and I don't know if I trust Meth, being E85 only is gonna suck and I don't wanna be over 330 whp so bigger turbo is out. So for me, I'm done with performance, the only 2 things I MAY do is CAI/SRI and Lower CP, but that's it. I don't imagine that giving more than 10 whp total.

no keep the stock flywheel, you will lose top end momentum with a lightweight flywheel but gain out of the hole.
