so got a new exhaust today
ok, up until 9am this morning i was running an offroad Hahn DownPipe and CIA 3" catback with just the magnaflow resonator in the stock location. yes. It was loud. sounded like a prop plane on cold starts. droned on the highway. embarrassing if the ladies were in the car. although. it sounded AWESOME at WOT. if this wasnt my DD. i woulda kept it that way.
So Im still running the Offroad DP and Magnaflow resonator but I through on that fairly new Dynomax VT muffler where the stock muffler would be. (zero clunking on the valve as of the last 100 hard miles I put on her. I got the one made after the recall. )
anyway. I started it in my garage. STOCK quiet. i mean. like, wow. wasnt even expecting that much of a difference. On the highway, like Dynomax promised. no drone. but open it up. and BAM. probably the best exhaust ive heard yet on an SSTC.
you will probably ask yourselves. Isnt that valve hurting Spool time? well. strictly butt dyno and knowing my car. it will still roast the tires in 1st 2nd and 3rd nearly instantly. my mech boost gauge jumps to 23lbs and Im off in a much quieter dash than before 0900hrs today.
I did a ton of research before making this purchase and no turbo guys. except for EVOs with silly cams had any issues as far as spooling the turbo.
I have the VT muffler for 4.0l and bigger engines. with having turbos. the valve would open up too early with the smaller style muffler
If any one is On Long Island can video tape my car to get some sound up on here. Id drive out to you.
Am I satisfied? well YES!!!

i really would like to see what this sounds like. I want a 3 inch exhaust but want it to sound as close to stock while driving around. I was thinking of using a muffler off a z06 but that wouldn't work because 2 exhaust tips would look retarded. lol.

08 we should deff meet up we have the same mods pretty much, i have full CIA exhaust with only a cat so shoot me a PM well figure something out, and also run where in nassau are you located
