So i lost all boost tonight

so i was driving home from work and my car was fine i went inside and changed and went to my gf's house and i noticed that my exhaust was sounding wierd then i noticed i had no boost damnit!!!!!! i lifted my hood then realized the piece that keeps the intercooler piping from moving broke but their wasnt any holes in the pipe. I drove my car alittle more and then my check engine light came on wtf!!!!! no boost = no fun

well if the piping disconnected, then there is nothing pushing the turbo to boost anymore? I mean I don't know crap about turbos, but this would make sense...

dont you love it when there's something majorly wrong with your car but yet they proceed to "take it out for a drive"

I had the same problem until I put the poly transmission bushings and the TTR engine mount in. Now the engine doesn't move so the pipe doesn't pop off.

they have to

it's called confirming the complaint

kinda like if someone brings their car in for a vibration....you have to drive it to get an idea of where it's coming from and how bad the vibration is before you put it on the lift to inspect....test driving is a huge part of diagnosis

i disagree first thing should be read the codes if there are any present... thats what i would do at my shop! a vibration is a vibration. this is in plain site when you start the car!

but anyways good luck

I got in at the tail end of the group buy that TTR was doing. I ended up paying like 250 or something for everything.

The same thing happened to me. My dealer ship ordered a new pipe and installed it. The tech came out and showed me the pipe. The new pip is smaller and the clip that holds it in place if diff. Pipe dues not move at all now.

You say the turbo isn't creating any "boost"? If it was a boost leak the compressor would still be putting out..sure it's not a wastegate issue...
