Unhappy Something let go on the Cobalt tonight...

No idea what it is and have no way of looking at it tonight. It made it home fine and makes no noise when reeving at a stand still only dose it when moving and under load. Have some buddies coming over tomorrow to help figure it out. Any ideas? Thinking its drivetrain.

I thought it was his car at first thats why it took me so long to let off.

Here you can hear it when I take off.

Is it just a noise or is there a loss of power?

Idk whatever it is its very loud and only happens when i start to build power. Drove the car around the block last night it revs up fine i was able to slowly get it up to 4k rpm and nothing but as soon as I started to build power I heard it.

Almost sounds like something in the suspension. You didn't break a trans or motor mount did you? Not a normal sounding motor problem.

It honestly sounds like a spark cut, or blow out to me, but no loss of power seems fishy. Pretty gnarly noise tho.

It does remind me of a loud electrical pop. And after hearing what blowout sounds like if definitely sounds similar. And as far as power loss I really couldn't tell and i haven't tried since.

Yeah thought it may have been blow out but we logged it and didnt see anything. Went ahead and changed the plugs. Then my buddy said something about the seals, we looked into it and we are 99% sure thats the problem. Plus getting on here and seeing noss saying the same thing.
