soo what mods first?

the bone stock T/C is in my garage now aaannnnd yeah, what mods do you guys suggest first? I got a guy offering me a HAHN charge pipe and intake for $300, they were both used for the summer and look to be in new condition.

but anything else? any maint. I should do? cars got 130,000km on it and it's a 2010, I will be getting the valves cleaned to. other than a tiny stone chip on the lip the car looks to be in new condition, the guy clearly babied the car, looks like nobodies ever even sat in it.

Just know Hahn is steel and does rust. All I gotta say. But I'd suggest k and n Sri. And downpipe and exhaust. Then charge pipes and intercooler.

I would stay clear of the Hahn if you plan on winter driving it, especially in salty Ontario.

Based on the Air Filter thread, just get a downpipe and tune to start.

lol o ok, so whats a good brand to go with for this stuff? my last ss was a 2.4 so I'm not familiar with LNF mods, and I is $300 steep for that HAHN stuff even if I was going to get it? he only had it on for a summer, it's in mint shape.

You got rid of the caddy? I though you loved it....get an intake first... You are gonna
Looove the sound as the k04 sings on throttle and sneeze off it hahah. Also if you can gms1 before you get ready for full tune mode.

Well according to Mr. Powell, you should run the stock intake housing and stock filter along with the ZZP LNF Intake Tube. But what does he know, he's only one of the best vendors we have.

I would say there is no need for an exhaust at this time (catabck).

Many people on this site recommend a tune at different times of modding. Some say when you add an intake get it tuned right away. If I were you I would install all your mods in one awesome mod addition and then tune right away so you dont have to keep doing it or run the chance of damage to the engine on the stock tune. just my .02

I can agree to that, but also if you tune you could tune for an intake.

There are a handful of studies with filters vs oem.... Also an aftermarket intake will make it sound kewl.

Oh I forgot, a forge BPV..those are nice.

Im new to the LNF as well, I was told we pretty much need to tune for everything, but I don't have the cash to get all the parts I want at once. I also have no tuning experience, so do not think I can tune on my own, with out guidance. I was thinking about getting a K&N intake, but if I have to tune for it I might just wait. My question is do we NEED to tune for the k&n intake or not?

You don't have to. You just won't benefit from it like you would if you were tuned. I have a K&N SRI without a tune.
